The UNV programme maintains a field presence in over 140 countries. Managing the country programme as well as the needs and expectations of the UN Volunteers is a task unto itself. 

We entrust UNV Programme Officers with this task.  Being volunteers themselves, UNV Programme Officers manage the varied requirements of the other UN Volunteers and frequently work at the core of the UN's presence in their countries.

Working under the banner of the UNDP country office to which they are assigned, they liaise with a host of different UN agencies as well as governments and NGOs.
