Supporting development work UNV volunteers support development work abroad. They work with UN agencies, government and non-governmental organizations. Their support is designed to combat poverty and foster self-reliance.
UNV volunteers serving in development projects have at least five years of professional experience. They offer a broad range of expertise, including administration, agriculture, communication, community development, commerce, education, engineering, environment, health, human settlements, information communication technology, logistics, media and social sciences. Assignments usually last 24 months. However, assignments of 6 to 12 months are increasingly common. As a UNV volunteer, you offer your services on a voluntary basis. We support you through several benefits. If you are interested to volunteer abroad with UNV, check our vacancies. If you wish to be included in our resource bank of candidates, please apply here.
