UNV is helping to improve literacy around the world, for example by supporting The Times of India newspaper's ambitious 'Teach India' campaign. Beijing, China: Volunteers were honoured at the close of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and UNV volunteer Liu Hui received an award on their behalf. The post-Olympic potential of volunteerism for development was also recognized. Read
