As the Regional Office’s HIV/AIDS Programme Officer, I am the focal point for knowledge management initiatives on HIV/AIDS, and, as such, I am involved in the evaluation and systematization of best practices, the documentation of innovation, as well as in qualitative/quantitative research. Read

My role as an Assistant Communication Officer in the Advocacy and Partnerships section requires regular field trips to UNICEF programme sites to highlight the work done in ensuring every child receives proper nutrition and health services, clean water and sanitation facilities, and an adequate level of care and protection.  By interacting with those in the local communities we are also able to identify what more needs to be done. In Kinshasa, about 20,350 children are without family care. With partners, we implement projects that prevent children from living this way, and provide vocational training to others. Families empowered with income generating activities become able to take care of children. Read

My work as a UN Volunteer with UNICEF Dominican Republic has been the most challenging experience of my professional career. Before arriving I did not know exactly what to expect from a different country and health system.
