The IT helpdesk supports civilian staff at the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad (MINURCAT) – looking after both software and hardware. In Chad, almost no IT infrastructure exists... That's why you'll never find any of the IT staff in their offices for more than 30 minutes. We are on the go all the time, ensuring MINURCAT's civilian and police staff are up and running too. Read

UNV volunteers improve health care services for children in Burundi

Kamenge, Burundi: UNV volunteers at the Roi Khaled Hospital in Kamenge, north of Bujumbura, have been working for days on renovating one of four paediatric wards at the hospital. Including everything from overhauling the sanitation facilities to repairing mosquito nets and crumbling walls, as well as organizing donations of medicine. Read
