Lomé, Togo: 750 new Togolese volunteers took an oath during the 12 March ceremony in Lomé organized by the National Volunteering Programme in Togo (PROVONAT) and the Government of Togo. Bonn, Germany: UNV is actively involved in the Greening the Blue initiative, which was launched in 2010 to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability throughout the UN system and to encourage staff members to take an active role in reducing the organization’s carbon emissions. Read

Berat, Albania: “We’ll clean the city for ten days.  It is our contribution to the community. Volunteer action helps us learn about environmental issues such as maintaining the cultural heritage sites of our city.
