Firoun Mahamar Maiga, a UN Volunteer recruited from Mali to coordinate the activities, answered : "We will help you to take up your activities of the past; if you had no profession, we will provide training in a project of your choice so you can earn money." The word "Timorization" was as alien to most of us as the word "Development" in East Timor during its colonial past.
