Dili, Timor-Leste: In Timor-Leste, United Nations Day celebrations took place with the re-inauguration of the Peace Memorial in the International People’s Park on Dili's waterfront. The Park re-opened with a refurbished Peace Memorial after months of extensive repairs. Read

Working for Peace and Security within Haitian communities

Port-au-Prince, Haiti: One of the most exciting things about being a UN Volunteer is having the chance to work across diverse activities which aim to help the Haitian people in a variety of ways.
