A global community

The community of former UNV volunteers going back to the first assignments in the early 1970s, is truly uniquely global, with around 40,000 people of more than 170 nationalities, having shared their skills in over 170 countries to create a beneficial and long-lasting impact on people's lives. As the human face of peace and development to many around the world, you are what makes UNV unique within the UN family. You have literally been UNV’s inspiration in action.
