On 30 September and 1 October, 2014, the UNV Partnerships Forum 2014 will take place in Bonn, Germany. Organized by UNV in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the City of Bonn, this is the first event of its kind.
This year’s Forum theme is “Innovation in Volunteer Action”. The overall objective is to strengthen partnerships with long-standing and new partners, in line with the UNV Strategic Framework 2014-2017.
The two-day Forum will consist of plenary sessions as well as theme-focused roundtables on Volunteering for Peace and Humanitarian Assistance, Community Resilience for Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction, Knowledge on the Impact of Volunteering, Online Volunteering, Fully-funded UN Volunteers and Youth Volunteering. High level-speakers and panelists will stimulate discussions to make the Forum an impactful event. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in open dialogue and exchanges on good practices and innovation for promoting volunteering for peace and development. The Forum will be an ideal networking opportunity for experts and stakeholders from around the world.
