Kiev, Ukraine: On 31 May 2011, at a press conference in Kiev, UNV, UNDP and the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sport of the Government of Ukraine jointly launched 'Active Youth Tested Recipes', a handbook of best practices for youth and organizations working with youth, and a national Youth Portal to support networking among Ukraine’s youth organizations. And what about my students? It would be great if they could see how wonderful double rainbows, which embrace the world, are when you watch them on a mountain top or in a canoe. And how amazing it is to watch the sunset in the mountains.

Then, perhaps, they wouldn't have let small rivers die, mountains and woods sink in litter, trees be uncontrollably cut. Or any other actions which lead to climate change and endanger the life of mankind.

Youth social inclusion project presented in Ukraine

Zhytomir Oblast, Ukraine: The implementation of the 'Youth Social Inclusion for Civic Engagement' project has started at the regional level in Ukraine. The project was launched in September 2008 with the overall objective of supporting youth social inclusion and civic engagement.

The project will develop key social competencies, which are needed for proactive youth involvement in society and decision-making processes, thus providing support to further enhancement of the Government's youth policy in Ukraine.
