Bonn, Germany: This week and for the second time in less than a month, the average age in the building UNV Headquarters in Bonn dropped significantly, inversely proportional with the rise in levels of energy and enthusiasm. UNV announces new Conditions of Service for international UN Volunteers

Bonn, Germany: In a video message to all personnel, United Nations Volunteers Executive Coordinator Richard Dictus has announced new Conditions of Service for international UN Volunteers. The message, part UNV's information campaign to notify UN partners and UN Volunteers of major policy changes that will take effect as of 1 March 2015, highlights changes particularly relevant to current and prospective UN Volunteers. UNV supports UN system response to Ebola

Bonn, Germany: UNV, as part of UNDP, is supporting the UN system’s response to the Ebola virus outbreak by providing volunteers to serve with the United Nations Mission for Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER), which is coordinating the UN response, by providing volunteers to support UN partners in implementing programmes in response to Ebola, and by mobilizing community volunteers in support of local initiatives. Bonn, Germany: For most of the attendees of the UNV Partnerships Forum 2014, the highlight was the Inspiration in Action – Blue Room Talks session.  Eight UN Volunteers from across the globe, chosen to represent the over 6,000 UN Volunteers and UNV’s various geographic and programmatic areas, took center stage to share their stories. They provided inspiring insight into their assignments, and the difference they are making within communities every day. Read
