The organization’s health education programme benefits the rural population of Kitega, located about 40km from the Ugandan capital. Read

Rabat, Morocco: Adélise Gobillot from Belgium is a UN Volunteer intern who provides support to the UNAIDS office in Rabat, Morocco. She actively participates in the work carried out by UNAIDS together with communities, government and other UN agencies to reduce the number of new HIV infections, advance human rights in the response to HIV/AIDS, and address the vulnerability of women, girls and sexual minorities in Morocco. Tegucigalpa, Honduras: In Honduras, the UNAIDS Volunteer Network was founded through the initiative of international UN Volunteer Michela Polesana, serving in the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). The network promotes social activities aiming to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and human rights. Read
