Descripción de las Tareas Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Immunization/Health Specialists/Officers – UNICEF Country Officer/ Field Offices or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Health Officer – Immunisation will work with a team of experts to addresses challenges in improving the health of women, newborns and children through these main components: Contribute to the Health section’s COVID-19 response, especially on COVID-19 vaccination program; Supporting evidence-generation so good science can inform sound policy and leverage Government commitment and resources for action; Advocacy and engagement to strengthen sub-national policy to ensure follow-up to local level; Contributing to Government efforts in identifying and addressing new and emerging health problems, especially on routine immunisation in the country / Sub National; Provide high-level technical assistance to the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and selected District Health Offices (DHO) on EPI policies and activities Regularly track and analyses provincial and district level data (including equity monitoring) with the intention of tracking progress towards key programme deliverables, identifying bottlenecks and taking corrective measures if progress is off track, Conduct advocacy efforts for women and children at all levels of the provincial and district leadership structures, Support capacity building efforts as needed and thereby supporting the process of the decentralisation process. Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor. Cualificaciones/ Requisitos Nivel Educacional Requerido: Bachelor degree or equivalent Educación - Comentarios Adicionales: Bachelor’s degree in Health or related field including Medicine, Public Health, Global/International Health, Health Policy & Management, Environmental Health, Family Health, Health Research, Biostatistics, Socio-medical Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Education, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Educational Interventions in Health Care, Demography, Social Sciences, Nursing, or a field relevant to international public health development assistance. Master’s degree in any of the above fields is considered as an asset. Descripción de las Tareas Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the WHO Representative in Morocco or his/her designated mandated representative(s), and working closely with respective technical leads at the respective WHO Regional Office and WHO HQ, the UN Volunteer will: Support the country implementation of WHO global and regional commitments on Nutrition and NCDs prevention and control, and Healthy lifestyle promotion Coordinate with MOH the development and implementation of national strategies and plans related to Nutrition, NCDs and Healthy lifestyles, and provide the technical support in coordination with the Regional Office. Support MOH for monitoring and evaluation of national strategies and plans related to Nutrition and NCDs and Healthy lifestyles. Ensure periodic and timely reporting against Global Target indicators and SDGs. Support multisectoral advocacy for Nutrition, reduction of NCD risk factors and Healthy lifestyles. Support the implementation of WHO guidance on cancer especially, Global Initiative on Childhood Cancer; and breast and cervical cancer prevention and control. Disseminate appropriate and relevant scientific, technical, and policy information, sharing experiences of successful practices dentify opportunities for potential partnerships at local level with UN agencies, international and national NGOs, and participate in related task forces, thematic groups, with a focus on representing WHO relevant programme. Conduct field missions in the regions and provinces of the country to provide technical support for the implementation of activities relating to Nutrition, NCDs, and healthy lifestyle Provide regular situation reports on progress, achievements and constraints Perform any other duty as required by the WHO Representative Cualificaciones/ Requisitos Nivel Educacional Requerido: Master degree or equivalent Educación - Comentarios Adicionales: Master's degree or equivalent in public health and/or health-related field, from an accredited and recognized academic institution is required, or: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in combination with relevant training and/or professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree; At least 5 years of professional work experience at the national level in public health and health sector coordination.
