En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión de La Coordinadora de Proyectos o su representante designado, el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

  • Contribuir con la identificación, entrevista, y verificación de duplicidad de asistencia humanitaria de la población venezolana que va a ser asistida por OIM.
  • Brindar asistencia a personas migrantes y refugiadas en situación de vulnerabilidad, por medio de CBI, servicios o artículos en especie.
  • Participar activamente en espacios de coordinación, mesas temáticas, secretaría técnica y cooperación, entre otros.
  • Apoyar las acciones de Protección en contextos de emergencia, en coordinación con el equipo de Protección.
  • Asistir con la recopilación de información diaria sobre la asistencia de OIM y el trabajo realizado en campo.
  • Asistir con el desarrollo de informes sobre el trabajo realizado por la OIM en Lima.
  • Realizar un monitoreo constante de la calidad, cantidad y pertinencia de la asistencia humanitaria entregada por la OIM, mediante matrices, encuestas y mecanismos de retroalimentación.
  • Otras tareas que le sean asignadas por el jefe de misión y/o supervisor directo.
Bachelor degree or equivalent

The UNV Post is paid and fulltime, and UNV work five days per week (40 hours).

Duties of the UNV include, but are not limited to:

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the WHO Representative in Morocco or his/her designated mandated representative(s), and working closely with respective technical leads at the respective WHO Regional Office and WHO HQ, the UN Volunteer will:

  1. Support the country implementation of WHO global and regional commitments on Nutrition and NCDs prevention and control, and Healthy lifestyle promotion

  2. Coordinate with MOH the development and implementation of national strategies and plans related to Nutrition, NCDs and Healthy lifestyles, and provide the technical support in coordination with the Regional Office.

  3. Support MOH for monitoring and evaluation of national strategies and plans related to Nutrition and NCDs and Healthy lifestyles. Ensure periodic and timely reporting against Global Target indicators and SDGs.

  4. Support multisectoral advocacy for Nutrition, reduction of NCD risk factors and Healthy lifestyles.

  5. Support the implementation of WHO guidance on cancer especially, Global Initiative on Childhood Cancer; and breast and cervical cancer prevention and control.

  6. Disseminate appropriate and relevant scientific, technical, and policy information, sharing experiences of successful practices

  7. dentify opportunities for potential partnerships at local level with UN agencies, international and national NGOs, and participate in related task forces, thematic groups, with a focus on representing WHO relevant programme.

  8. Conduct field missions in the regions and provinces of the country to provide technical support for the implementation of activities relating to Nutrition, NCDs, and healthy lifestyle

  9. Provide regular situation reports on progress, achievements and constraints

  10. Perform any other duty as required by the WHO Representative

Master degree or equivalent
  • Master's degree or equivalent in public health and/or health-related field, from an accredited and recognized academic institution is required, or:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in combination with relevant training and/or professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree;

  • At least 5 years of professional work experience at the national level in public health and health sector coordination.

The UNV Post is paid and fulltime, and UNV work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the office to which they are assigned. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Communication Team based in New York.

Duties of the UNV include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in monitoring media coverage of mine action and international relations issues.
  • Distribute relevant articles to key partners
  • Establish and maintain a mine action video library
  • Assist with media outreach
  • Assist in creating graphic-design related materials
  • Assist in advocacy and outreach activities to internal and external audiences
  • Research, compile, draft and edit basic information for use in the preparation and production of public information materials, including website content.
  • Assist with the maintenance and help develop UNMAS Social Media tools (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Assist in liaison with public information focal points in HQ specifically related to generating multimedia public information materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of outreach material such as talking points, correspondence and presentations
  • Events and website management, stocking and mailing public information materials.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Furthermore, UN Volunteers are required to:

  • Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day);
  • Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country;
  • Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking, including participation in ongoing reflection activities;
  • Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.;
  • Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly arrived UN Volunteers;
  • Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.
