Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Change Management Adviser or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will:

  • Ensure quarterly data collection, data analysis, reporting for the primary objective of enabling evidence-based change management.
  • Use AFRO information management processes and systems to classify, manage, store and transfer information on Transformation Agenda Initiatives.
  • Analyzes, synthesizes and disseminates methodologies, lessons learned and best practices on change monitoring and evaluation, including quality improvement.
  • Assist in identifying advocacy and communication opportunities for the Transformation Agenda, by monitoring the news and other key sources and managing internal and external communications calendar.
  • Draft a wide range of internal and external communications materials: briefings, infographics, animations, digital cards, short pagers, messages, newsletters, as well as PowerPoint, presentations, media releases, blogs, brochures and reports.
  • Contributes to the preparation of various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analytical notes, sections of reports and studies.
  • Identify opportunities for promoting Transformation Agenda outcomes in bulletin, newsletters, digital platforms and other tools of key partners, regional institutions, organizations and networks.
  • Regularly provide analytics reports on engagement on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other relevant channels and propose tactics and crafting content that lead to boost followers and enhance engagement with target audiences.
  • Ensure information on the website and intranet is kept up to date, by working closely with the webmaster, communications Unit. This involves the preparation of informal translations.
  • Conduct internal interviews, set up interviews, produce and edit videos, and posting stories, features, videos and photos on the main page and social media pages.

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Representative and in close cooperation with the the Logistics team, the volunteer will:

  • Coordinate COVAX cold chain / logistics and in-country supply chain readiness and support the implementation of COVAX supply chain related activities in Congo with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with programmes in defining supply interventions to meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children, and provides technical and advisory of the Supply chain, logistics and vaccine forecasting working group and through national immunization logistics working groups

  • Contribute to the development of the rule of law strategic plans and serve as primary reporting officer for the Section.
  • Contribute to the coordination of the section's activities and assist in the day-to-day coordination of key activities with other mission components (e.g., human rights, political affairs, police, gender) and UN entities.
  • Draft budget documents, planning documents, talking points, speeches, reports, etc. for the Section.

Under the direct supervision of the Geospatial Information Officer, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Design, produce and update thematic and operational maps for Mission clients.
  • Process and maintain geographic data and metadata for the Mission’s geodatabases and map products.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Assistant Representative or his designated mandated representative(s), the National UN Volunteer will:

  • Support social media accounts of UNFPA Ukraine GBV Programme information campaign “Break the Circle (Facebook) and educational project “(No) trivia in relations” (Instagram) in the period of absence of contracted service provider.
  • Ensure regular updates of “Break the Circle” site, prepare monthly reports, assist in enhancing the structure and content of the resource.
  • Manage the process of monthly GBV newsletter development: coordinate the process of stories collecting, editing the text, design layout ensuring.
  • Ensure regular highlighting of GBV programme events/news/achievements on UNFPA Ukraine resources: website, Facebook account, Twitter, YouTube (if applicable).
  • Organise translation and design services meeting communication needs for news publishing, events support, programme highlights presenting, printed informational materials development, etc.
  • Ensure filing of all developed products within communication component, including photos and videos from events, on UNFPA Ukraine’s Google Drive.
  • Assist within programme printing requests – collect and unify requests from target cities and partners, liaise with the selected service provider from sending the layouts to accepting the report of the work done, including coordinating the process of printing and dissemination, layouts editing (if needed).
  • Analyse media publications and mentions in the thematic areas related to GBV programme, provide timely advice to the GBV programme team and UNFPA Communication and Advocacy Associate, flag the issues of concern, and suggest ideas of media projects.
  • Monitor international and Ukrainian communication initiatives/campaigns/projects aimed at eliminating GBV and DV. Prepare brief description of findings.
  • Carry out any other communications-related duties as may be required by the management.
Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • At least Bachelor degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of a Project Manager or his designated mandated representative(s), the UNV M&E and Reporting Assistant will:

  • Responsible for clear and timely reporting under the projects results framework, while providing for support to any ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes.
  • Review the documents provided by UNDP to obtain better understanding of the project goals, context and profiles of the targeted BMOs in Ukraine including assessments conducted by UNDP. Provide full support with data collection to regularly track changes of monitoring key indicators and the actual status of development of 27 partner business membership organizations, including, but not limited to: number of members, new members, member retention rate, share of MSMEs among members, share of women entrepreneurs among members, budget, share of members paying fees, share of income from service provision, services offered to MSMEs on a cost-recovery basis, industry-based standards or independent professional certifications developed, laws/sub-laws to which comments provided, coalitions joined or created and more. Assist with data entry, data analysis and data interpretation of surveys and interviews.
  • Follow up on reporting requirements (formats, deadlines…) and procedures, establish the reporting calendar and initiate/prepare the reports in cooperation with other colleagues. Create and maintain spreadsheets and dashboards required for efficient reporting.
  • Ensure that projects’ monitoring data is entered into the relevant data management systems (Atlas ERP, corporate intranet and other).
  • Maintenance and archiving of all supporting records, documents and files from monitoring and research activities (raw data, evidence etc).
  • Assist in preparation of narrative inputs for briefings, regular and ad-hoc reports to UNDP and donors, factsheets, situation reports, activity-specific reports, publications, statements for internal and external use etc.
  • Support to identify and formulate lessons learned from project innovation pilots with partner BMOs, evaluations, and studies.
  • Support strategic research initiatives by collating, compiling and analysis of data from various sources, preliminary scoping studies or briefs, contributing to drafting the Terms of Reference for research activities.
  • Support project efforts related to policy and advocacy by providing robust evidence based on relevant and latest information.
  • Support capacity building initiatives on RBM and improving data quality systems for relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with organization of regular and ad-hoc meetings related to projects research, data collection, monitoring and evaluation activities; help prepare relevant documentation/background notes, presentations, and meeting minutes/summaries of actions to be taken.
  • Support projects evaluation, including data and information collection and consolidation, scheduling of meetings, logistics or other related tasks, as requested. Assist with follow up on implementation of evaluation recommendations.
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

  • Perform administrative support functions to facilitate the implementation of the project activities, including personnel matters, attendance records, facilitating missions, office maintenance, reception/registry.
  • Support to organization of meetings, workshops, roundtables, conferences, forums and other project events in online and offline format through ensuring proper administrative and logistic arrangements, facilitating related procurement and financial processes.
