Sous la supervision directe du/de la Spécialiste Genre et Adolescence au sein de la section Protection de l’Enfant, le/la Volontaire des Nations Unies effectuera les tâches suivantes:
• Assurer le suivi et accompagner la mise en oeuvre du projet par les organisations d’en-fants et jeunes partenaires ;
• Capitaliser les lecons apprises et appuyer le travail de suivi-évaluation du projet en coor-dination avec les partenaires et les personnels en charge ;
• Faciliter le rapprochement structurel entre les organisations de la société civile, les uni-versités et les mécanismes de justice transitionnelle, notamment la CVJR, afin que la jeunesse s’implique ;
• Mettre en place les cadres et accompagner une approche « faire faire » pour permettre aux organisations d’enfants et jeunes de gagner en compétences pour développer par elles-mêmes leur cadre d’intervention et mener des actions avec des outils innovants et adaptés au Mali (réseaux sociaux, activités artistiques...) ;
• Outiller les organisations d’enfants et jeunes pour mener la mobilisation et sensibilisa-tion, y compris des jeunes survivant.es de violations des droits humains. L’initiative prendra particulièrement en compte la voix des jeunes femmes qui souffrent gravement des conflits et sont encore plus sous-représentées que les jeunes hommes dans les mécanismes de prise de décision ;
• Appuyer techniquement la CVJR pour une prise en compte effective des opinions et attentes des jeunes dans son travail, mais aussi dans l’élaboration de ses recomman-dations ;
• Sous la supervision du/de la Specialiste Genre et Adolescence, faciliter la coordination avec les agences partenaires du projet (PNUD et ASFC) ;
• Appuyer le développement et la mise a l’échelle de la participation des adolescents à l’ensemble des programmes de l’UNICEF Mali.

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Electro-Mechanical Unit, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

Operations

·

Install, service, maintain and repair, in compliance with recognized standards and regulations pertaining to safety and installation codes, air-conditioning and refrigeration installations.

·

Diagnose technical faults and carry-out remedy for malfunctioning or defective air-conditioning and refrigeration installations or recommend their write off.

·

Operate a wide variety of tools and power equipment including saws, drills, common workshop machinery, voltage testers, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, welding/soldering equipment and other tools and equipment.

·

Perform diagnostics and preventive maintenance of air-conditioning and refrigeration installations.

·

Perform technical or other assessments of air-conditioning and refrigeration installations and prepare technical or other reports.

·

Apply and ensure adherence to safety programmes related to the safe operation of air-conditioning and refrigeration installations and equipment of the building and maintenance trade.

·

Conducting in-house training to tradesmen and artisans on the HVAC technical skills in the new installation of specialized equipment, fault finding and remedy.

·

Review and recommend for approval work orders and assign day to day repair and maintenance tasks to tradesmen and technicians being supervised.

·

Read and interpret specifications and technical drawings, schedules, manuals for installations and upgrade repair.

·

Resolve problems; inspect quality of work and work performance.

Administration

·

Maintain records relating to inventories of HVAC, work orders and general correspondence.

·

Assist in carrying out technical assessments of installed HVAC units in existing buildings and infrastructure.

·

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for HVAC projects and maintenance programmes.

·

Assist in technically evaluating bids and proposals for HVAC projects.

·

Provide inputs periodically for assessment of performance levels of assigned local staff.

·

Alert the Supervisor of Unit of unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or are likely to occur.

·

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the Section Chief.

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in HVAC installations from a recognized Technical/Trade School. Certifiable proof of license to practice on domestic, commercial and HVAC installations in accordance with the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), UK codes or equivalent.

This is a home-based position. Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of RPP Field Operations Manager or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Procurement Clerk will:

• Provide technical support to procurement and operational activities:

• Support the procurement processes including preparation of the draft versions of Terms of References, technical specifications, memos, other supporting documentation for Request For Quotations (RFQ) /Invitation To Bids (ITB)/Request For Proposals (RFP)/Individual Consultants (IC) engagements after comments of RPP Procurement Unit specialists, consolidate received quotations, bids or proposals and supporting documents for evaluation;
• Participate in the analysis of tender documents for procurement of goods and services connected with Programme needs, draft evaluation minutes/reports and contracts;
• Contribute to the procurement process to ensure that it is fair, competitive, transparent, ethical and provides best value for money as well as the procurement action is in accordance with UN rules and regulations, procedures and instructions.

• Support RPP Operations in verification and validation of the accuracy of invoices & payment requests for local purchases. Provide help in the review and obtaining additional documents (if necessary) and ensure that all the paperwork is completed, and acknowledgment of receipt is signed by the authorized person;
• To assist with managing urgent procurement documentation with respect to the administrative work, communications, workflow, and filing of all documents related to procurement;
• To be able to provide written unofficial translations of documents related to procurement process from/into English/Ukrainian/Russian.
• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
