Bajo la supervisión del jefe de la Unidad de Terreno de Bogotá, el/la Voluntario/a llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

  • Proveer orientación e información a personas de interés del ACNUR en temas relacionados al acceso a los mecanismos de regularización migratoria, acceso al procedimiento de asilo, acceso a servicios básicos y acceso efectivo a sus derechos;
  • Elaborar informes de entrevistas realizadas a las personas de interés del ACNUR con el objetivo de recomendar soluciones duraderas para esta población;
  • Identificar y registrar las necesidades específicas de protección de las personas de interés del ACNUR;
  • Apoyar las acciones de referenciación para la atención de las personas de interés del ACNUR en otras instituciones y acciones de seguimiento a los casos, en coordinación con las agencias socias del ACNUR;
  • Brindar apoyo en la recolección de información a través de las herramientas del ecosistema PRIMES, ejercicios de diagnóstico participativo, ejercicios de monitoreo de protección y otros mecanismos de acercamiento comunitario;
  • Asistir en la redacción de informes y reportes, correspondencia de rutina, actualización de bases de datos relevantes y compilación de datos estadísticos sobre la población de interés;
  • Mantener el registro actualizado de la población atendida en el ecosistema PRIMES del ACNUR;

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión del líder de equipo Regional o Subregional o su representante designado, el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

  • Visitar con frecuencia áreas de reunión y poblados cercanos para familiarizarse con las dinámicas que operan en el terreno para recoger las preocupaciones e identificar los desafíos que enfrentan las partes firmantes y las comunidades afectadas,;
  • Construir relaciones sólidas y productivas con las partes, los actores locales, así como con las comunidades, en coordinación con los Oficiales de Información Pública y las y los jefes de las Oficinas Regionales;
  • Brindar apoyo a los equipos regionales, subregionales y locales en la implementación de sus actividades respecto al mandato de la Misión, incluyendo aquellos aspectos relacionados con el relacionamiento de las partes y con las comunidades, actividades de monitoreo y verificación, mantenimiento de las bases de datos y elaboración de informes; la observación, la recolección de información, la recepción de quejas de las partes y de las comunidades afectadas, el seguimiento de incidentes y presuntas violaciones del Acuerdo Final, recomendando e implementando acciones preventivas y correctivas;
  • Apoyo en el análisis de parámetros de los asesinatos y amenazas según el contexto de grupos armados y dinámicas presentes en la región.
  • Apoyo en la elaboración y en el análisis de informes mensuales, quincenales y diarios.
  • Apoyo en las relaciones con las autoridades civiles involucradas en el tema de garantías de seguridad.
  • Apoyo en seguimiento a los compromisos institucionales en la reincorporación, teniendo en cuenta el apoyo en la implementación de los indicadores de sostenibilidad de los proyectos económicos y la sistematización de los indicadores de cada proyecto.
  • Apoyo en el seguimiento a las actividades del partido COMUNES (ex partido FARC), analizando sus acciones, fortalezas y debilidades, apoyando el relacionamiento del partido COMUNES a nivel regional y local con las instancias nacionales del partido.
  • Apoyar el seguimiento de los proyectos de reincorporación económica de los excombatientes de las FARC-EP implementados tanto por la Misión como a través de entidades gubernamentales y no gubernamentales y la cooperación internacional, con el fin de promover su rápida ejecución y alertar ante dificultades o retrasos encontrados.
  • Apoyo a la elaboración de piezas comunicativas y productos que se requiera en pedagogía, difusión de propuestas de paz y reconciliación;
  • Apoyo en la participación en los espacios institucionales como Comités Municipales de Paz y en los procesos de reconciliación que se impulsen para ser apoyados por la Misión;
  • Servir de enlace entre contrapartes de la ONU y otros actores presentes en el área de responsabilidad;
  • Analizar e informar sobre el mandato de la Misión y el alcance de sus actividades;
  • Desempeñar funciones adicionales, de ser necesario, en función de criterios que establezca la persona encargada de dirigir el equipo;

Además de lo anterior, a los Voluntarios de la ONU se les insta a integrarse al mandato del programa VNU en el marco de su asignación y promover la acción voluntaria a través de la integración en las comunidades en el desarrollo de su trabajo. Como tales, los Voluntarios de la ONU deben dedicar parte de su tiempo de trabajo a alguna de las siguientes actividades recomendadas:

  • Fortalecer su conocimiento y entendimiento sobre el concepto de voluntariado por medio de la lectura de publicaciones pertinentes tanto del programa VNU como externas, así como desempeñar un papel activo en las actividades del programa VNU (por ejemplo, en los eventos de conmemoración del Día Internacional del Voluntariado);
  • Conocer y desarrollar las formas tradicionales y/o locales de voluntariado en el país anfitrión;
  • Proveer reportes de autoevaluación anuales y al finalizar la asignación sobre las acciones de VNU, resultados y oportunidades;
  • Contribuir con artículos/críticas de sus experiencias en el terreno y con el asesoramiento y la autorización previa de la Unidad de Información Pública compartirlas con la sede para su inclusión en el sitio web, publicaciones, panfletos/boletines, notas de prensa, etc. del programa VNU;
  • Ayudar con el Programa de Mentores para los nuevos Jóvenes Voluntarios de la ONU;
  • Impulsar o asesorar a grupos locales en el uso del servicio Voluntariado en Línea del programa VNU o promover el uso del servicio a individuos y organizaciones locales relevantes cuando sea técnicamente posible.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Recovery and Resilience Specialist/ Head of the Strategic and Economic Unit (a,.i) the IUNV Programme officer on Inclusive Economic Growth will:

  • Support the programmatic implementation of the RFF and, mapping and analysis of gaps, entry points and opportunities contributing to youth and female entrepreneurship in the blue and green economy initiatives;
  • Support the Monitoring and Evaluation of Project implementation;
  • Support the dialogue and outreach efforts at the national, local and community level to strengthen Socio-Economic Recovery and build Resilience and foster inclusive sustainable economic growth that leaves no one behind;
  • Draft and coordinate the procurement of studies, assessment, consultancies and agreements;
  • Seek alignment and synergies with other activities and initiatives of UNDP (e.g., the Accelerator Lab) and international and national partners, particularly in areas related to youth and female entrepreneurship for improved livelihoods and enhancing the involvement of the Bissau-Guinean diaspora in the economic and financial life in Guinea-Bissau;

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of a Project Manager or his designated mandated representative(s), the UNV M&E and Reporting Assistant will:

  • Responsible for clear and timely reporting under the projects results framework, while providing for support to any ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes.
  • Review the documents provided by UNDP to obtain better understanding of the project goals, context and profiles of the targeted BMOs in Ukraine including assessments conducted by UNDP. Provide full support with data collection to regularly track changes of monitoring key indicators and the actual status of development of 27 partner business membership organizations, including, but not limited to: number of members, new members, member retention rate, share of MSMEs among members, share of women entrepreneurs among members, budget, share of members paying fees, share of income from service provision, services offered to MSMEs on a cost-recovery basis, industry-based standards or independent professional certifications developed, laws/sub-laws to which comments provided, coalitions joined or created and more. Assist with data entry, data analysis and data interpretation of surveys and interviews.
  • Follow up on reporting requirements (formats, deadlines…) and procedures, establish the reporting calendar and initiate/prepare the reports in cooperation with other colleagues. Create and maintain spreadsheets and dashboards required for efficient reporting.
  • Ensure that projects’ monitoring data is entered into the relevant data management systems (Atlas ERP, corporate intranet and other).
  • Maintenance and archiving of all supporting records, documents and files from monitoring and research activities (raw data, evidence etc).
  • Assist in preparation of narrative inputs for briefings, regular and ad-hoc reports to UNDP and donors, factsheets, situation reports, activity-specific reports, publications, statements for internal and external use etc.
  • Support to identify and formulate lessons learned from project innovation pilots with partner BMOs, evaluations, and studies.
  • Support strategic research initiatives by collating, compiling and analysis of data from various sources, preliminary scoping studies or briefs, contributing to drafting the Terms of Reference for research activities.
  • Support project efforts related to policy and advocacy by providing robust evidence based on relevant and latest information.
  • Support capacity building initiatives on RBM and improving data quality systems for relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with organization of regular and ad-hoc meetings related to projects research, data collection, monitoring and evaluation activities; help prepare relevant documentation/background notes, presentations, and meeting minutes/summaries of actions to be taken.
  • Support projects evaluation, including data and information collection and consolidation, scheduling of meetings, logistics or other related tasks, as requested. Assist with follow up on implementation of evaluation recommendations.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of a Project Manager or his designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Coordination and Knowledge Management Assistant will:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Country Programme and close coordination with the International Shelter/WASH Specialist and National Engineer, he/she will implement the construction work undertaken by UN-Habitat partners with the aim of accomplishing the task in the most effective manner on agreed time schedule and ensure the facilitation of and smooth implementation of UN-Habitat programmes/projects. “Response to the Socio-Economic Impact of Flash Flooding through Rehabilitation of Damaged Houses and Upgrading Stormwater Facilities in Aden and Al-Hawtah in Yemen” aiming at mitigating the impact of flash flooding and reducing the risk of climate induced natural disasters to enhance resilience of vulnerable communities in Aden and Al-Hawtah Cities from recent flooding.

The National Engineer represents UN-Habitat in the site level coordination meetings at the local level and ensure proper advocacy for the UN-Habitat roles and responsibilities and shares information on the progress of works on different projects on the ground, the National Engineer will:

Specifically, the he/she shall:

  • Assess the condition of shelters/houses damaged in Aden and Al-Hawtah project sites
  • Follows up with contract related to activities and construction of drainage systems and damaged houses rehabilitation,
  • Prepare detailed design, drawings and Bills of Quantities required
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on the progress of works of different activities implemented at the state and locality levels;
  • Check and verify payments made by the different counterparts, contractors and suppliers and office operations related payments and provide recommendations to Yemen office to process payments; and
  • Support regular meetings in Aden and Al-Hawtah shelter/housing sector coordination meetings and provide information on the progress of works at the state level.
  • Assess the needs and resources of beneficiaries in terms of shelter/housing with participation of the community and taking into consideration the implementing partners’ views and in defining appropriate solutions;
  • Make recommendations on the procurement of all the required shelter/housing materials, equipment and tools to ensure timely implementation of plans and functioning of the rehabilitated shelter/housing.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision in Aden and Al-Hawtah shelter/housing projects and related activities. This includes developing standard designs for shelter and providing technical details on layout of the IDP site (streets, alleys, drainage, etc.) and bill of quantities;
  • Liaise with the other UN agencies, Government ministries and implementing partners in order to coordinate activities encompassing shelter/housing rehabilitation activities including drainage structures
  • Regularly liaise and coordinate with the sector specialists and host authorities and other agencies and maintain close working relationship with the specialists in the Aden Hub through coordination and information sharing mechanisms;
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Clinical Technical Duties:

Within delegated authority, the Emergency Nurse shall be responsible for the following duties:

  • Rational use of personal protective equipment for coronavirus disease 2019 in line with WHO Guidelines including WHO-recommended types of personal protective equipment (PPE) to be used in the context of COVID-19 disease, according to the setting, personnel and type of activity.
  • Screening and triage of all patient with suspected COVID-19.
  • Implementation of appropriate infection prevention and control (IPC) measures according to the last updated WHO Guidance.
  • Timely, effective and safe supportive management of patients with suspected and confirmed COVID-19 in in line with international protocols.
  • Clinical management of severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) when COVID-19 disease is suspected.
  • Collection of specimens for laboratory diagnosis.
  • Ensure proper follow up on all cases.
  • Be on call during and outside office hours to observe and treat emergencies in the UN Clinic and undertake house calls when required.
  • Ensure that proper medical records are kept in a strictly confidential manner.
  • Maintain emergency medical supplies and equipment to be used in case of emergency.
  • Provide daily 24 hours emergency medical coverage for UN staff.
  • Respond to acute emergencies in line with international protocols such as advanced trauma life support management and advanced cardiac life support. or Pre- Hospital Trauma life support.

Furthermore, UN Volunteers are required to:
