UNV's COVID-19 pandemic response
The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is placing strains on health systems and essential public services across the world. UNV offers its partners guidance and volunteer solutions for the pandemic response: on site UN Volunteers and Online Volunteers.
UNV is a common service to the United Nations that mobilizes over 8,500 UN Volunteers a year worldwide. Our Global Talent Pool has over 200,000 registered highly skilled professionals, representing over 100 professional profiles. We have national pools of professionals keen to volunteer in their home country. Through our Online Volunteering service, we have 600,000 registered volunteers ready to take on remote assignments.
The impact of the COVID-19 crisis on young people has been systematic, deep and disproportionate. Read more about how UNDP and UNV are engaging young people in COVID-19 response and recovery, to ensure their voices are heard and their needs addressed.
