The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme has been partnering with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, represented by the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department, for many years. One of the many facets of this partnership is the full funding of UN Volunteer assignments in support of the United Nations system.
UN Youth Volunteer Tereza Sacha served at the Moldova Innovation Lab of the United Nations Development Programme, designing and developing innovative tech-based solutions to address development challenges.
In 2018, 19 Czech nationals served as UN Volunteers, 14 of whom were funded by the Government of the Czech Republic. The Government also provides a contribution to UNV’s Special Voluntary Fund (SVF), a flexible resource to implement UNV’s Strategic Framework.
