Your Role as a UN Volunteer

UNV Code of Conduct

UN Volunteers are expected to abide by the UNV Code of Conduct and any applicable Host Entity specific regulations, policies or administrative issuances governing the conduct of personnel.

Familiarize yourself with the code of conduct as a central guide to support your day-to-day decision making.

Volunteer Reflection Toolkit

Use the Volunteer Reflection Toolkit to enhance your overall volunteer experience through personal and professional development.

It includes practical activities to deepen understanding of the impact of your volunteer efforts, document your learning and achievements, and eventually develop a comprehensive understanding of skills and competencies acquired during your UNV assignment.

Volunteer Reporting Application

Volunteer reporting using the Volunteer Reporting Application (VRA) is an obligatory exercise for all UN Volunteers with a compulsory annual and end-of-assignment reporting.

Make use of the VRA regularly to record and report your contributions in terms of volunteer results, beneficiaries, added value, and trigger call for action on opportunities. It also enables you to record information on your learning, personal and professional development, and satisfaction with the UNV assignment.

The VRA enables you as a UN Volunteer, as well as the entire UNV programme, to recognize and systematically demonstrate your efforts and results in real-time to our partners.
