Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of National Project Manager (NPM) or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Project Coordinator will:

  • Provide support to NPM and Technical Officer on activity plan development, activities preparation and implementation, report preparation, monitoring and evaluation in regard to the project implementation particularly in relation with Output two
  • Provide assistance to Technical Officer on defining schedule of project activities through close coordination and communication with strategic partners, beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders;
  • Prepare TOR of project training/activity and ensure its implementation through coordination with other relevant person who relates with the activities arrangement;
  • In coordination with Project Assistant, he/she will provide support to PMU in providing required administrative documents in regard to the project trainings/activities.
  • Provide support to Technical Officer on providing and ensuring meetings material needed for workshops, seminars and trainings;
  • establish and maintain communication and coordination with relevant stakeholder of SP4N-LAPOR Project in ensuring effective and smooth implementation of the project trainings/activities;
  • Assist in regular team and other meetings (including preparing agenda and minutes);
  • Provide technical and implementation support to existing project under the Enhanced institutional capacity of complain handling at national and subnational level through trainings;
  • Perform any other substantive and/or administrative task that might be required.

Description of task

Under the supervision of the project coordinator, the Project Management Unit or their designated representative(s) and the local Forest+ coordinator, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for the execution at the state level of the actions of the Plan to Support the States of the Legal Amazon, and for the implementation of the Floresta+ Amazônia Pilot Project, including the following activities:

  • To prepare the Working Plan altogether with the Project Management Unit and the Supervisor, and to execute it as established;
  • To define adaptive strategies, documentation and procedures to ensure the achievement of expected outputs;
  • To coordinate with the state institution responsible for the CAR to prioritize and increase the efficiency of the analysis of rural properties' CAR whose owners/holders are potential beneficiaries of the Forest+ Amazonia Pilot Project, as well as to increase the number of CARs i) active; ii) with an approved legal reserve; and iii) in one of the two categories "analyzed without pending" or "analyzing waiting";
  • To plan and to execute campaigns, altogether with the State Environmental Agencies (OEMAs), and other institutions related to the subject, to resolve pending issues in the CAR with the owners/holders of rural properties potentially eligible for the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project;
  • To define and implement strategies to increase compliance with notifications from the SICAR Owner/Holder Center, and to engage potential beneficiaries of the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project;
  • To plan and execute campaigns, altogether with the State Environmental Agencies (OEMAs) and other institutions related to the subject, to join the Forest+ Amazonia Pilot Project with the owners/holders of rural properties potentially eligible for the Forest+ Amazonia Pilot Project.
  • To support the implementation of the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project communication campaign in the UF. The campaigns should be carried out in strategic regions of the state that allow for greater effectiveness of the activity, including actions in several municipal urban centers and rural areas;
  • To coordinate the local UN Volunteers team and counter service activities of the CAR to be provided by the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project;
  • To participate in training events related to the process of environmental regularization of rural properties promoted by the state or by the Brazilian Forest Service. Attending to all training and knowledge transfer events in the context of supporting the environmental regularization of rural properties through the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project;
  • To carry out technical training at the State Departments of Environment and Agriculture, as well as at institutions supporting rural property owners and holders, on the procedures for joining the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project;
  • To monitor the progress of the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project activities carried out by partner institutions, in order to identify synergies and redundancies between planned and ongoing actions;
  • To carry out the registration of actions, activities and results achieved;
  • To collect data and information on local actions as required by the Project Management Unit and the Project Technical Coordination Unit;
  • To prepare follow-up reports on local activities;

Description of task

  • To support the Local Coordinator in technical training events at the State Secretariats for the Environment and Agriculture, as well as at institutions supporting rural property owners and holders on procedures for joining the Forest+ Amazonia pilot project;
  • To support, within the scope of State Secretariats, Federations, Unions and Rural Cooperatives, among other institutions, the owners and holders of rural properties of up to 4 fiscal modules, in the process of meeting the notifications and rectification of the CAR;
  • To inform procedures for complying with CAR analysis notifications and the environmental regularization process;
  • To answer doubts regarding the implementation of the "Lei de Proteção da Vegetação Nativa (Código Florestal Brasileiro)", focusing on the possible benefits of recovering areas or forest assets existing in the property;

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, and in close collaboration with the SPM&E Team and Programme Sections, the National UN Volunteer Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will undertake the following tasks:

Support the M&E function in UNICEF Brazil and the implementation of the studies, researches and evaluations planned in the Integrated Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Planning (EISI Plan)

  • Support the preparation, consolidation and follow-up of the 2021 and 2022 EISI plan and M&E work plan;
  • Support data collection, data analysis and quality assurance for the studies, researches and evaluations planned for 2021 and 2022.

  • Follow national research and databases for the most up-to-date information on the situation of children and adolescents;
  • Help prepare Concept Notes, Terms of References, reports, summary briefs and analyses on a range of themes to support the BCO, including related to the Covid-19 and the Venezuelan Migrant Crisis.
  • Support data collection, updates, quality control and preparation of briefs for a range of local, regional and international initiatives.

Support activities related to Programme Performance Monitoring

  • Support the Deputy Representative, Planning Officer, and SPM&E team in the implementation of mid-year and annual programme reviews;
  • Support data collection and consolidation for reporting on M&E outputs and outcomes during mid-year and annual programme reviews;

Support the preparation of Country Office Annual Report (COAR)

  • Support data collection, quality control, preparation and consolidation of specific chapters of the COAR 2021.

Support the implementation and management response of selected evaluations and studies

  • Support the design, implementation and management response of the evaluations undertaken and planned for 2021-2022, including the current Country Programme Evaluation (CPE).

Support the implementation of UNICEF’s equity approach

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Communication Officer (Youth Engagement) and general guidance from the C4D and Youth Engagement Manager, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Support the advocacy and programme implementation regarding young people’s participation across programme clusters, especially through a meaningful engagement with Mitra Muda.
  • Assist the development and implementation of Mitra Muda’s working agenda as it fits UNICEF Indonesia’s priorities, including but not limited to reviewing, mentoring, and linking to relevant advocacy and commemoration opportunities.
  • Provide capacity building support to the core team of the Mitra Muda youth engagement network and other members of the network.
  • Support the linkages of Mitra Muda with civil society partners, youth-led organizations and other UN agencies on adolescent and youth issues.
  • Strengthen team spirits among Mitra Muda members through oneline and offline enagagments, and provide the needed coaching and mentoring support.

  • Assist in organizing and running the planned meetings and workshops with partners and stakeholders, including the meetings of border authorities, in line with the agreed vision and methodology, assuring and strengthening the sustainability of the project;
  • Ensure that all planned field activities are communicated with UNDP Oe-cusse office and RAEOA ZEESM authority; and they are well coordinated with the activities under the Support for the Institutional and Sustainable Development of Oé-Cusse Special Administrative Region and the Special Zone of Social Market Economy Project
  • Participate in and report on the monitoring of progress of capacity building activities in the project area;
  • In consultation with the RAEOA-ZEESM TL, Sucos, communities, local producers and other stakeholders promote cross-border economic collaboration;
  • Facilitate the discussions and assist in the preparation of the materials and methodology to be used in the capacity building activities in the target border communities;
  • Attend meetings, prepare notes and undertake follow-up actions related to the project implementation and monitoring;
  • Organize and conduct translation and interpretation of verbal discussions/trainings, as well as written documents as required;
  • In consultation with the Indonesian Embassy Extension Office in Oe-cusse and in coordination with the Government Liaison Officer of the Project, assist the set up and the organizing of the border authorities’ forum/platform;
  • Assist in the analysis and prepare monthly progress report of project implementation and help to evaluate against established project recommendations and plans of action;
  • Other tasks related to the project implementation of activities and methodology..

Description of task

Under the general leadership of the Chief of Child Protection and direct supervision of the Child Protection Specialist, UNICEF Mozambique (VAC, Child Marriage), the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • With close guidance from supervisor, assist in the coordination with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Action (MGCAS) and other partners for the implementation of the child marriage and violence against children UNICEF program components (regular communication, attendance of coordination meetings, elaborate minutes, linkages with partners and with UNICEF provincial offices).
  • Under close guidance from supervisor, provide technical support to MGCAS for the reactivation of the response plan on violence against children (including child marriage), its implementation and monitoring.
  • Provide support in the implementation and reporting of the Child Marriage Global programme: participate in the selection of the consultancy work about elaboration of a position paper on temporary shelter for victims of violence and child marriage, ensure coordination with MGCAS and facilitate
  • the organization of the meetings/interviews for key stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular and close coordination with CECAP (civil society partners working on child marriage) at central and provincial level
  • Support the convergency agenda on CM and adolescent empowerment internally in UNICEF and with UNFPA and UN Women
  • Under close guidance from supervisor, participate in technical meetings with MGCAS on the evaluation of the CM Strategy as well as the evaluation follow up plan.
  • Contribute to developing a clear GBV engagement strategy within the CP section at national and provincial level, in both humanitarian and development programming
  • Under the guidance of the supervisor, undertake dedicated learning of relevant courses available on Agora and familiarize with normative and evidence-based research documents in the area of CM and VAC
  • Contribute to knowledge management through generation of human-interest stories for donor and internal UNICEF reports.
