Description of task

Under the direct supervision of Project Management officer in Beijing, the Project Assistant will:

Overall targets

Support the implementation of project related operational and administrative tasks

Support the operationalization and management of sectoral clusters at South South Galaxy and shared-drive

Support partnership building and knowledge sharing

Support Assets management

Provide events organization support and other Detailed tasks

Overall tasks

Participate and support the sectoral research, project work plan formulation, and provide operational support to the implementation of specific activities including needs assessment, pilots, knowledge sharing and advocacy efforts.

Maintain effective communication with UNDP Operations Team and UN partnering agencies and facilitate engagement of key stakeholders through effective day-to-day communication and information sharing.

Consolidate, categorize and enhance the project database for the preparation of digitalization online, project related activities for instance on Microsoft Sharepoint, teams among others.

Support the compilation of usage data and traffic monitoring and reporting of the uses for the seven city clusters.

Assist the daily operation and management of online city clusters, including assist creating city partners’ South-South Galaxy accounts, facilitating online discussions, identifying and following up potential partnerships, and collecting data for M&E purpose.

Support the preparation and organization of online and offline workshops/webinars, and international conferences and events for expanding partners network and increasing project’s visibility among international developing community.

Support the drafting and preparation of high-quality reports, meeting minutes and development of knowledge products and advocacy materials as required.

Perform various procurement and operations tasks as per instructed by strictly following UNDP policy and rules, guidelines and procedures.

Maintain and update project documentation at UNOSSC sharepoint on regular basis. File and update institutional records for Project Office, including multi-stakeholders database, procurement records, financial records, human resources records, and other operational matters.

Support the implementation of project monitoring and evaluation as well as survey and data analysis.

Perform other administrative tasks as requested by Project Manager and direct supervisor.

Description of task

Sous la supervision de l’innovation specialist dans la section Communication pour le développement ou de son (ses) représentant(s) mandaté(s) désigné(s), le/la Volontaire des Nations Unies [stratège numérique et engagement des jeunes collaborera avec la stratege engagement digital. Il/elle appuiera la mise en œuvre du projet U-Report sur différents médias numériques et sociaux à travers les tâches suivantes :

Médias sociaux et U-report

  • Définition des stratégies de communication du projet U-report sur les réseaux sociaux;
  • Gestion des communautés de médias sociaux (Facebook, Twitter et Instagram);
  • Recrutement de u-reporters via les réseaux sociaux;
  • Préparer et publier du contenu (articles, nouvelles, photos, sondages) pour les médias sociaux et les blogs;
  • Créer et mettre à jour les messages clés à des fins de communication bidirectionnelle;
  • Adapter au contexte local les contenus multimédias proposés par le niveau global;
  • Développer le calendrier des publications pour tous les canaux de U-Report (page Facebook, groupe Facebook Instagram, Twitter);

Description of task

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión de la Coordinación del Proyecto o su representante designado, el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

Apoyo en la implementación del Proyecto (50%):

  • Contribuir al apoyo diario a la implementación del proyecto y asegurar la conformidad con los resultados, productos, objetivos esperados y los planes operativos.
  • Elaborar notas de concepto, términos de referencia, actas o documentos relacionados con la gestión del proyecto.
  • Asistir en la implementación y monitoreo del proyecto, incluyendo la participación en las visitas de campo.
  • Organizar los eventos de incidencia, talleres, mesas redondas, misiones y otros eventos del proyecto.
  • Elaborar borradores de informes de avance técnico.
  • Elaborar borradores de artículos, publicaciones, discursos, cartas, memos y otros documentos
  • Crear y mantener una base de datos de proyectos.
  • Participar en reuniones de coordinación al interno y externo del PNUD.

Administración Financiera (25%):

  • Revisar y procesar las solicitudes de pago de los beneficiarios y proveedores a través de la obtención de las autorizaciones y aprobaciones necesarias y asegurar que los pagos sean efectivizados rápidamente
  • Mantener la integridad financiera del programa dentro de la Oficina País del PNUD
  • Revisar los informes financieros presentados por los beneficiarios y emitir recomendaciones
  • Elaborar borradores de propuestas de presupuestos administrativos.
  • Proporcionar otros informes financieros según sea requerido.

Funciones Administrativas (25%)

  • Establecer un sistema de archivo apropiado y mantener los archivos y las documentaciones en buen orden.

Description of task

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión del Representante de UNODC para el Perú, Ecuador y Responsable de coordinación de las operaciones en Argentina, Chile, Para-guay y Uruguay, la Oficial de Coordinación Nacional y el Oficial Regional punto focal de género y derechos humanos, el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:


1. Diseñar una propuesta metodológica, estructura pedagógica y contenidos, así como análisis de los elementos didácticos en materia de género, derechos humanos y justicia penal con énfasis en la violencia basada en género y atención a las víctimas.
2. Investigar y establecer un documento programático de contenidos basado en las normas nacionales e internacionales que rigen la respuesta del sistema de la justicia penal a la violencia basada en género. Sesiones de planificación académica con el equipo de UNODC para determinar el enfoque del público objetivo, los objetivos de aprendizaje generales y específicos, la definición del índice temático y la secuencia de la presentación.
3. Levantar, consolidar y organizar la información necesaria para la elaboración de la capacitación.
4. Apoyar en la identificación y definición de los perfiles para la selección de fiscales y operado-res de justicia que serán capacitados en la Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE).
5. Identificar una plataforma adecuada para llevar a cabo un programa de capacitación en línea.
6. Desarrollar un borrador del diseño metodológico del curso y un programa de estudios, así como un manual de usuario que se compartirá con los participantes en la plataforma en línea.
7. Organizar y gestionar las capacitaciones virtuales para los usuarios en la plataforma de aprendizaje y apoyar en webinarios requeridos, así como en el desarrollo y aplicación de mecanismos de seguimiento y evaluación de los conocimientos impartidos.
8. Investigar y recopilar materiales de la UNODC y otras fuentes, estándares de justicia penal, género y de derecho internacional de los derechos humanos basadas en los temas del curso virtual. Definición coordinada de los materiales clave con la UNODC y la FGE.
9. Generar el contenido de un repositorio digital consistente en una compilación de materiales de UNODC y estándares de derechos humanos y justicia penal vinculado con violencia basada en género, compilado en una base de datos, ideado como un espacio de consulta para los funcionarios capacitados.
10. Gestionar y mantener contacto con las instituciones, oficinas y personas estratégicas para el buen desarrollo del proyecto.
11. Realizar seguimiento a los compromisos y responsabilidades adquiridos por los actores relevantes al proyecto.
12. Participar activamente en el desarrollo del trabajo técnico del proyecto.

13. Las demás funciones relacionadas con el apoyo técnico al proyecto de acuerdo con los requerimientos establecidos por el Representante de UNODC y el punto focal de género y derechos humanos

Description of task

Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office, and the direct supervision of the Unit’s coordinator, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Gather information and report on the human rights situation in a designated geographical or thematic area, including through contacts with other United Nations actors, state authorities and the community;
  • Contribute to analysis and reports on human rights concerns, violations and abuses, and the consistency of policies, programme and norms with international human rights standards and the application of economic, social and cultural rights approach;
  • Assist in the designing and the delivering of technical assistance and capacity building to government institutions and civil society with focus on non-discrimination and economic, social and cultural rights.
  • Undertake monitoring missions and reporting, use the OHCHR database to enter cases and document allegations and violations of human rights violations with focus on non-discrimination and gender;
  • Cooperate in the organization of seminars, workshops and consultations at the national and local level to promote knowledge of standards and jurisprudence in the area of economic, social and cultural rights, and how such standards are to be used to protect and promote human rights in the context of development;
  • Contribute to the development of papers, briefings, advocacy materials, presentations and methodological tools to promote awareness and understanding of economic, social and cultural rights;
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Description of task

Bajo la supervisión del responsable de la sección de Educación, el ONU Voluntario desempeñará las siguientes tareas:

  • Apoyar la planificación, implementación y gestión de la educación en los programas de emergencia trabajando con el gobierno, las agencias de la ONU y otros socios de desarrollo / humanitarios y contrapartes de ONG en las áreas de Educación Infantil, Calidad y Equidad en la educación, incluso a través del desarrollo de capacidades y el fortalecimiento de vínculos intersectoriales
  • Mejorar la eficiencia y la eficacia del proyecto mediante la implementación y las actividades de seguimiento con varios asociados en la ejecución, incluido el seguimiento de las aportaciones de UNICEF, las condiciones y los recursos locales, el flujo de asistencia de suministro y no suministro y el estado del proyecto de educación.
  • Contribuir a la producción, uso y difusión de información en el programa educativo, a través de la participación en la redacción de notas temáticas, análisis analíticos de situación, SITREPs, informes a donantes de emergencia.
  • Apoyar la implementación de mecanismos de seguimiento y evaluación mediante el desarrollo de herramientas analíticas y de seguimiento que identifiquen el progreso en relación con los objetivos educativos del programa junto con los obstáculos y las barreras. En esta área trabaja muy de cerca con el área de seguimiento y planificación.
  • Brindar asesoría y asistencia técnica a funcionarios gubernamentales y otros socios en la planificación, implementación, monitoreo y evaluación del programa.
  • Apoyo en la elaboración de propuestas humanitarias a donantes
    Realizar visitas sobre el terreno para supervisar los programas, así como realizar revisiones periódicas del programa con contrapartes gubernamentales y de ONG y otros socios.
  • Cualquier otra tarea relacionada que pueda ser requerida o asignada por el supervisor.
  • Participa en los diferentes foros de coordinación humanitaria (clúster de educación, cualquier otro clúster / sub clúster de interés, foros de coordinación gubernamental si los hubiera)
  • Coordina con colegas de otras áreas de UNICEF para garantizar la intersectorialidad de la programación humanitaria.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Innovative Financing Lab and Technical Coordinator of Impact Investing, the national UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Support day-to-day project implementation including liase with key partners.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Unit and in close collaboration with Task Managers, the Branch Communications lead and UNEP GEF Communication Coordinator the UNV will undertake the following tasks:

  • Design, populate and manage a central document repository for the GEF-IW portfolio including a dashboard system to track project progress, deadlines and resulting achievements/results
  • Support the development of the UNEP GEF website by developing, collating and updating content for the GEF-IW subsite
  • In liaison with the UNEP Communication Division, develop and disseminate various communication products including visuals, flyers and other outreach materials that promote the GEF-IW unit’s work across the UNEP and GEF websites
  • Communicate with and provide inputs to the IW: LEARN knowledge management platform
  • Provide support to the GEF-IW team in projects oversight and management through provision of periodic relevant updates from the dashboard
  • Maintain and update the database of relevant partners and stakeholders and support partnership building for expansion of the GEF-IW portfolio
  • Prepare briefing notes, projects fact sheets, stories, periodic news articles, support the preparation of meeting, and workshop minutes, presentations, and other informational materials
  • Provide support to carry out social media campaigns, online community engagement and participation for optimum outreach and impact
  • Contribute to the preparation of various written portfolio outputs such as draft background papers, analytical notes, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external requests, document and disseminate best practices, stories and lessons learnt from the projects across the regions
