Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Education Chief, the UN Volunteers will undertake the following tasks:

  • Assist the education in achieving key results for children in KRC #3 - Equitable and Sustainable Access to Education and KRC #4 – Improving Learning Outcomes by supporting programme management, monitoring and delivery of results in education
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal colleagues and partners to discuss strategies and methodologies, and to determine national priorities to ensure the achievement of concrete and sustainable results.
  • Provide technical and operational support throughout all stages of programming processes and to ensure integration, coherence and harmonization of programmes/projects with other UNICEF sectors and achievement of results as planned and allocated.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, programme reviews and annual reviews with the government and other counterparts to assess progress and to determine required action/interventions to achieve results.
  • Prepare and assess monitoring and evaluation reports to identify gaps, strengths and weaknesses in programme management.
  • Identify lessons learned and use knowledge gained for development planning and timely intervention to achieve goals.
  • Actively monitor programmes/projects through field visits and surveys, and exchange information with stakeholders to assess progress, identify bottlenecks and potential problems, and take timely decisions to resolve issues and/or refer to relevant officials for timely resolution.
  • Prepare regular and mandated programme reports for management, donors and partners to keep them informed of programme progress.
  • Provide technical guidance and operational support to government counterparts, NGO partners, UN system partners and country office partners and donors on interpretation, application and understanding of UNICEF policies, strategies, processes and best practices and approaches on education and related issues to support programme management, implementation and delivery of results.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, and in close collaboration with the SPM&E Team and Programme Sections, the National UN Volunteer Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will undertake the following tasks:

Support the M&E function in UNICEF Brazil and the implementation of the studies, researches and evaluations planned in the Integrated Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Planning (EISI Plan)

  • Support the preparation, consolidation and follow-up of the 2021 and 2022 EISI plan and M&E work plan;
  • Support data collection, data analysis and quality assurance for the studies, researches and evaluations planned for 2021 and 2022.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to M&E and evidence generation activities planned for 2021 and 2022, including the ones related to the Brazil Country Office’s (BCO) responses to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the Venezuelan Migrant Crisis.

Support activities related to Situation Monitoring and Assessment

  • Follow national research and databases for the most up-to-date information on the situation of children and adolescents;
  • Help prepare Concept Notes, Terms of References, reports, summary briefs and analyses on a range of themes to support the BCO, including related to the Covid-19 and the Venezuelan Migrant Crisis.
  • Support data collection, updates, quality control and preparation of briefs for a range of local, regional and international initiatives.

Support activities related to Programme Performance Monitoring

  • Support the Deputy Representative, Planning Officer, and SPM&E team in the implementation of mid-year and annual programme reviews;
  • Support data collection and consolidation for reporting on M&E outputs and outcomes during mid-year and annual programme reviews;
  • Support the implementation of SPM&E’s responses to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the Venezuelan Migrant Crisis.

Support the preparation of Country Office Annual Report (COAR)

  • Support data collection, quality control, preparation and consolidation of specific chapters of the COAR 2021.

Support the implementation and management response of selected evaluations and studies

  • Support the design, implementation and management response of the evaluations undertaken and planned for 2021-2022, including the current Country Programme Evaluation (CPE).

Support the implementation of UNICEF’s equity approach

  • Support data collection, analysis and quality assurance of selected initiatives that promote UNICEF’s equity approach, including in the finalization of the current editions of the UNICEF Seal and the Platform of Urban Centres (PCU) initiatives.

Description of task

Reporting to the Civil Affairs Team Leader/Coordinator or designate at the field office level, the UN Volunteer will undertake various tasks, including the following:

  • Maintaining contact with local government authorities, political leaders, traditional leaders, religious leaders, civil society actors, as well as with representatives of local and international organisations and briefing them on the mandate and activities of MONUSCO and CAS mandate if so required.

  • Helping to track, report on and providing analysis on potential threats against civilians and of community conflicts including related political, security, social and economic developments, youth and gender-related issues or any other significant developments to identify trends within the area of responsibility (AOR), and in support of the Mission’s overall protection of civilians’ mandate.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to the CAS team particularly CLAs in strengthening early warning and existing protection mechanisms at the local level.
  • Participating in Joint Assessment Missions and Joint Protection Team in support of protection of civilians and stabilisation activities.
  • Fostering confidence-building, dialogue, understanding and cooperation between parties and assisting local authorities and relevant actors with conflict management and protection of civilians.
  • Engaging with and provide technical assistance and advice to civil society groups or institutions that promote a culture of peace and reconciliation, in support of the Mission’s protection priorities.
  • Collaborating and coordinating relevant activities with other UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes, as well as other bodies and institutions, including local and international Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) operating at the Provincial, Territorial or other levels of government as required.
  • Supporting the organisation of CAS mandated activities; Providing support to initiatives that build the capacity of local authorities and civil servants.
  • Providing properly edited accurate, timely and factual monthly, weekly and daily, reports on conflict management, protection of civilians and stabilization activities within the area of responsibility based on inputs received from the field bases and CAS FO HQ office.   • Producing briefs and other analytical reports as required on Protection of Civilians, political developments, peace processes, conflict and insecurity.
  • Working with designated information technology staff to manage Civil Affairs information and produce summary reports; Consolidating alerts and information received and incorporating into a database that produces trends and other summary information;
  • Participating in meetings on behalf of CAS with other UN Agencies, civil society organisations and other partners, both local and international;

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of Chief Child Protection section, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

1. Support to program development and planning

· Provide technical and operational support throughout all stages of programming processes by executing and administering a variety of technical, programme, operational, and administrative transactions, preparing related materials and documentations, and complying with organizational processes and management systems, to support programme planning, results-based planning and monitoring and evaluating of results.

· Conduct/update situation analysis for the program sector/s for design and implementation of child protection priority thematic areas. Report on development trends and (social, health etc) data for use in program development, monitoring, evaluation and delivery of results.

· Prepare required program documentations/materials/data to facilitate program review process.

2. Program management, monitoring and delivery of results.

· Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and partners to discuss implementation issues, provide solutions, recommendations and/or to alert appropriate colleagues, partners and stakeholders for higher-level interventions and/or decisions. Keep records of meetings, reports and programmatic visits for easy reference and/or to capture and institutionalize lessons learned.

· Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, program reviews and annual reviews with government and other counterparts to assess programs/projects and to report on required action/interventions.

· Monitor and report on the use of sectoral program resources (financial, administrative and other assets), verify compliance with approved allocation/goals, organizational rules, regulations/procedures and donor commitments, standards of accountability and integrity. Report on critical issues/findings to ensure timely resolution by management/stakeholders. Follow up on unresolved issues to ensure resolution.

· Support and monitor the development by partners of appropriate accountability frameworks that include programme beneficiary complaints mechanisms.

· Prepare regular/mandated sectoral program/project updates/reports to monitor program progress.

3. Technical and operational support to program implementation

· Conduct programme field visits and exchange information with partners/stakeholders to assess progress and provide technical support. Take appropriate action to resolve issues and/or refer to relevant partners and colleagues for resolution. Report on critical issues, bottlenecks and potential problems for timely action to achieve results.

· Provide technical and operational support to government counterparts, NGO partners, UN system partners and other country office partners/donors on the application and understanding of UNICEF policies, strategies, processes and best practices in child protection, to support programme implementation.

4. Networking and partnership building

· Build and sustain close working partnerships with government counterparts and national stakeholders through active sharing of information and knowledge to facilitate programme implementation and build capacity of stakeholders to achieve and sustain results on child protection.

· Contribute to development of communication and information materials for CO programme advocacy to promote awareness on the birth registration project.

· Participate in appropriate inter-agency meetings/events on programming to collaborate with inter-agency partners/colleagues on operational planning and to integrate and harmonize UNICEF position and strategies with UN and Government development and planning process.

· Prepare briefs and fact sheets for partnership development purposes and knowledge sharing.

Under the direct supervision of the Communication Officer (Youth Engagement) and general guidance from the C4D and Youth Engagement Manager, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Support the advocacy and programme implementation regarding young people’s participation across programme clusters, especially through a meaningful engagement with Mitra Muda.
  • Assist the development and implementation of Mitra Muda’s working agenda as it fits UNICEF Indonesia’s priorities, including but not limited to reviewing, mentoring, and linking to relevant advocacy and commemoration opportunities.
  • Provide capacity building support to the core team of the Mitra Muda youth engagement network and other members of the network.
  • Support the linkages of Mitra Muda with civil society partners, youth-led organizations and other UN agencies on adolescent and youth issues.
  • Strengthen team spirits among Mitra Muda members through oneline and offline enagagments, and provide the needed coaching and mentoring support.
  • Support the implementation of U-Report Indonesia, ranging from the technical process in RapidPro, creative content production and online community management in social media, and the scaling strategy for U-Reporters recruitment.
  • Contributes to the knowledge management to document lessons learnt and good practices on the adolescent and youth participation initiatives, especially for the Mitra Muda’s involvement.
  • Support any relevant Communication and Public Advocacy initiative related to adolescent and youth engagement.

Description of task

Objetivo: El/La Coordinador de Agencias Telemarketing es responsable de la exitosa implementación y planificación del canal de telemarketing para la adquisición de nuevos donantes mensuales por medio de agencias de call centers especializadas en campañas de telemarketing. Se deberá asegurar una correcta evaluación y monitoreo de estas campañas para cumplir con los objetivos generales del plan estratégico de recaudación de fondos en la oficina de México. Además de supervisar directamente el control administrativo de gastos, contratos y facturación de las agencias aliadas.

Se refiere a donantes mensuales a las personas que acceden hacer un donativo mensual a UNICEF por medio de una tarjeta bancaria.

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión del Fundraising Officer (Acquisition), el/la Voluntario/a Social Champion Coordinator II - Coordinador de Agencias Telemarketing de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

Gestión de call centers

  • Implementación de campañas de recaudación de fondos y al plan de trabajo para acciones de nuevos donantes en telemarketing por medio de agencias especializadas de call center, proporcionando datos operativos pertinentes a la propuesta de campañas, objetivos mensuales, métricas e indicadores claves de rendimiento (KPIs).
  • Asegurar la implementación efectiva de campañas de telemarketing considerando un seguimiento cercano a los call centers para identificar y corregir problemas de operación, incluyendo contacto con gerentes y supervisores, plan de motivación/incentivos y calidad de la campaña.
  • Acompañamiento en la apertura de nuevos call centers, implementando entrenamientos de onboarding, revisión de plan reclutamiento, y seguimientos de principales KPI´s.
  • Realizar un programa efectivo de monitoreo y evaluación semanal y mensual de resultados y principales indicadores de las campañas con los diferentes call centers, así como acordar cambios y propuestas que ayuden a alcanzar el objetivo de las metas establecidas. Preparar informes de resultados para ser compartidos de manera oportuna con el supervisor y con las agencias.
  • Elaborar contenido de apoyo para los recaudadores de fondos como scripts para las campañas, capacitaciones de programas de UNICEF, escucha de llamadas para monitoreo de calidad, planeación de programas de incentivos.
  • Revisión y control de facturas con cada una de las agencias y el área administrativa de recaudación de fondos asegurando una correcta implementación del presupuesto mensual conciliando la proyección y la producción real, además del alojamiento y seguimiento de los fondos en los contratos.

Planeación y Estrategia

  • Responsable de realizar la planeación de la estrategia anual de campañas de telemarketing con agencias de call center para lograr la meta anual de cantidad de nuevos donantes y de recaudación, así como asegurar la correcta implementación del presupuesto mensual monitoreando los gastos de manera eficiente.
  • Junto con el supervisor realizar los ejercicios de proyecciones financieras para solicitud de fondos de inversión y cálculo de ingresos del canal de telemarketing, así como en la elaboración de los respectivos reportes financieros de 6, 12 y 36 meses.
  • Análisis continuo de la información referente a los principales indicadores con el objetivo de realizar recomendaciones y cambios para maximizar el canal de telemarketing y las agencias en términos de cobranza, retención y conversión.
  • Recibir, procesar y revisar archivos de producción y de bases de datos para enviar al área de cobranza y call centers de manera regular, y enviar respuesta de cobranza a las agencias en tiempo y forma.
  • Seguimiento administrativo relacionado al apoyo en el proceso para contratación call centers, seguimiento a contratos y facturas, adquisición de materiales promocionales de apoyo a recaudadores.

Comunicación:

  • Responsable de trabajar con el equipo de prospección individuos, particularmente con el coordinador del programa in house telemarketing y con el equipo digital.
  • Continua comunicación con el equipo digital para asegurar una correcta implementación de las campañas para generación de las bases de datos, y asegurar una correcta transferencia de base de datos a call centers.
  • Cuando se necesite, apoyar a la correcta implementación de campañas de comunicación y optimización de donantes mensuales actuales, así como en monitoreo de resultados.
  • Comunicación constante con los Fundraising Associate de otros países y especialista de la oficina regional y global.

Description of task

Bajo la supervisión de la Jefa de Educación / Jefa de Protección, en coordinación con la Asociada de Educación y Asociado de Protección respectivamente, y siguiendo las directrices técnicas del área de operaciones de UNICEF en México, el/la Voluntario(a) de la ONU llevarán a cabo las siguientes tareas:

Seguimiento presupuestario

  • Gestionar, en coordinación con el Asociado de Programa, los presupuestos y los gastos financieros del area programática, garantizando el cumplimiento de las normas y reglamentos de UNICEF, manteniendo al supervisor informado y asesorado sobre las acciones de decisión / seguimiento.
  • Preparar y mantener registros, con el apoyo del Asociado de Programas, de documentos y planes de control y situación financiera para el seguimiento presupuestario de la implementación de proyectos / programas.

Seguimiento adquisiciones y contrataciones

  • Asegurar que la oficina de la Ciudad de México cuente con todos los elementos necesarios para aprobar los PCA / SSFAs (Programme Cooperation Agreements / Small Scale Funding Agreement) que suscribe con sus socios y aliados, antes de iniciar la implementación.
  • Coordinar con la Oficial de Recursos Humanos la elaboración de procedimientos de contratos de consultores y socios externos que brinden un servicio a la sección y a las oficinas de terreno.
  • Enviar solicitudes de creación, eliminación, bloqueo y reactivación de proveedores al punto focal de MDM (Master Data Management).

Comunicación y flujo de trabajo

  • Facilitar la comunicación y el flujo de trabajo de la organización para mejorar la eficiencia y la puntualidad de las operaciones y los productos.
  • Gestionar correspondencia, correos electrónicos y llamadas telefónicas entrantes y salientes.
  • Comunicar información rutinaria y no rutinaria relacionada con el trabajo del equipo.
  • Establecer y mantener los sistemas de archivo y referencia de la oficina, tanto tradicionales como digitales; y asegurar que los sitios ECM relevantes estén actualizados y sean precisos.

  • Asistir en la preparación de presupuestos sobre costos de viaje y mantiene registros de control presupuestario y plan de viaje.
  • Supervisar la certificación de viaje e informar al equipo.

Procesamiento de facturas e informes financieros

  • Recopilar las facturas y archivar los documentos para la certificación y, posteriormente, remite la solicitud de pago con todos los archivos electrónicos de respaldo al Asistente de Operaciones para su revisión y envío a la Oficina Global de Budapes para su procesamiento.
  • Responder al estado de las transacciones del cliente y otras consultas.
  • Elaborar con apoyo del equipo de cada sección, informes financieros periódicos y puntuales, para estar al día de la situación financiera de los proyectos y contrataciones.
