Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.
Under the overall supervision of the Director of the UNJHRO and the direct supervision of the Coordinator of the Reporting Unit, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Bachelor degree or equivalent
University degree in Law, Social Sciences or Political Science. Specialized study on International Human rights;
At least 3 years’ experience in Protection and promotion of human rights; Knowledge of international human rights instruments and rules for the protection and promotion of human rights; experience in research and drafting is an asset.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft suite;
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations /MONUSCO. This assignment requires fluency in French and English.
