Sous la supervision générale du coordonnateur pays de l’ONUDC et la supervision directe du Volontaire national des Nations Unies Spécialiste chargé de suivi-évaluation, le/la VNU communautaire effectuera de manière spécifique les tâches suivantes :

  • Contribuer à la préparation du plan de travail annuel en concertation avec le VNU Spécialiste chargé de Suivi et de la Coordination (superviseur direct) ;
  • Rédiger un plan d’action avec l’assistance du VNU Spécialiste chargé de Suivi et de la Coordination ;
  • Contribuer à la mise en œuvre et au suivi des activités communautaires conformément au plan d'action ;
  • Contribuer à l’identification des communautés ou des zones cibles ainsi que des leaders communautaires, artistes, sportifs, acteurs culturels connus du grand public, et ce dans le respect du « Do No Harm » (Ne pas Nuire) et des considérations de genre ;
  • Identifier et développer un réseau local des partenaires potentiels du projet y compris ceux du Système des Nations Unies intervenant dans la prévention du terrorisme et des infractions liées à la criminalité transnationale organisée ;
  • Collaborer avec le système judiciaire et le ou (la) VNU Prisons ainsi que l’Association des Femmes Chefs de Famille chargée de la mise en œuvre du projet PBF ;
  • Organiser et accompagner les campagnes ou ateliers de sensibilisation, y compris des foras communautaires (leaders communautaires) sur le terrorisme et la criminalité transnationale organisée ce, à travers des activités culturelles, artistiques, sportives etc. ;
  • Faciliter la communication et les échanges avec les autorités judiciaires ;
  • Assurer la remontée des informations en temps réel au VNU Spécialiste chargé du suivi et de la coordination des activités sur le terrain ;
  • Produire des rapports avec supports photos sur les activités réalisées ;
  • Effectuer toute autre activité en lien avec le bon fonctionnement du projet ;
  • Effectuer à la demande du VNU Spécialiste chargé de suivi et de coordination ou du Coordonnateur Programme du pays, d'autres tâches en lien avec les mandats de l’ONUDC.
Secondary education

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the UNFPA Representative or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer Census Coordinator will:

  • Advice the General Directorate of Statistics (GDS) and UNFPA Representative on the planning, organizations and execution and management of the 2021 Population and Housing Census of Timor-Leste.
  • Ensure timely implementation of census implementation plan, quality control plan and other documents and make necessary amendments and revisions
  • Maintain effective coordination amongst Census technical team to ensure that national interests are effectively addressed in terms of delivering quality census outputs
  • Participate in and guide the development of the plans for data analysis and tabulation
  • Assist the GDS to process and analyze pre-test, trial census and census data and production of preliminary, final and analytical reports and on the dissemination of census final reports, analytical reports and thematic reports.
  • Develop mechanism for quality control and conduct field visits to monitor and validate quality of fieldwork of geographical preparations and enumerations.
  • Coordinate the planning, organization and execution and management of training activities for national counterparts as needed.
  • Contribute to the process of advocacy and resource mobilization for the 2021 Population and Housing Census and Demographic Health Survey.
  • Support GDS in the development of the Population and Housing Census and Post Enumeration Survey (PES) instruments and ensure efficient sampling for trial census and PES.
  • Support GDS to supervise the implementation of the pilot census activities and provide a report to guide the main census activities in timely manner.
  • Collaborate with data processing staff of GDS to prepare data capture and processing plans and in a timely implementation of data processing schedules.
  • Support the development of plans for data analysis and tabulation.
  • Coordinate and support the development and implementation of PES schedule of activities, analysis of the PES data and production of reports including documenting lessons learned and best practices.
  • Support the production and advise on dissemination of census final and analytical reports
  • Prepare quarterly progress report of the 2021 census activities and consolidate quarterly progress reports for submission to GDS, UNFPA and census technical team.
  • Support GDS to develop training plans and ensure timely training of staff involved in census activities field work, data processing (coding, data entry) and analysis.
  • In close collaboration with UNFPA related staff, identify technical assistance needed and/or support from development partners and other agencies.
  • Prepare Terms of Reference for consultants that will contribute to the various phases of the 2021 census.
  • Undertake other tasks relevant to the 2021 census that may be required.

  • Carry out any other additional tasks assigned by the UNFPA Assistant Representative and the UNFPA Representative.

  1. Under the supervision of the Communications and Advocacy Officer, the International UN Volunteer/ Specialist will undertake the following tasks:

    Essential

    Social media management and visualization:

    • Manage UNDP Kazakhstan social media - Twitter, Instagram, Facebook: a) develop content strategy; b) plan content posting; c) perform regular engagement monitoring and analysis;

    • Develop and design the (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) ;

    • Undertake social media audit at the end of 2021;

    • Design infographics, presentations and other corporate material (leaflets,

      brochures, manuals) disseminated to the Government, partners, donors, public;

    • Identify innovative ways and new communications tools to display / promote the work of UNDP Kazakhstan;

    • Support the communication team in developing digital content such as videos, photo exhibits, podcasts, etc. to promote key themes (climate change, inequalities, gender equality), major events and key programme results.

      Website management:

    • Regularly update UNDP Kazakhstan website content based on the corporate requirements in cooperation with the ICT and communication team;

    • Contribute to the UNDP Kazakhstan website content development and design;

    • Build the research and publications section on the website as a repository of

      the knowledge materials produced by UNDP Kazakhstan.

      Communication and advocacy materials/capacity building:

    • Identify innovative opportunities and new communications tools and platforms to display the key work of the UNDP Kazakhstan;

    • Assist the Communication team with any tasks related to communication and advocacy (producing stories, press releases, speeches, etc.);

    • Provide trainings for UNDP Kazakhstan staff on communications and advocacy for further development.

      Furthermore, UN Volunteers are encouraged to integrate the UN Volunteers programme mandate within their assignment and promote voluntary action through engagement with communities in the course of their work. As such, UN Volunteers should dedicate a part of their working time to some of the following suggested activities:

    • Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day);

    • Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country;

      • Provide annual and end of assignment self-reports on UN Volunteer actions, results and opportunities;

      • Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.;

      • Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Volunteers;

      • Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering

        service whenever technically possible.

Multi-media content production and management

  • Produce and archive digital communication materials including poster, leaflet, and brochure or other visual materials (photos, video and footages) related to event/activity.

  • Support the development of human-interest stories for WFP’s online presence and assist in updating the WFP Cambodia website.
  • Work closely with editors/writers/designer and relevant colleagues on communication-related product design and/or media-, social-media and web-based content development
  • Assist in managing WFP’s social media platforms, monitor their daily engagement and report on their monthly traffic including reach and engagement

Media Relation

  • Maintain and update media directory (national, and key regional and international)
