Minimum age: 18 years old. Applicants must be local residents in the community of assignment.

Under the direct supervision of designated IOM focal point in the country of assignment, the UN Community Volunteer will:

• Support the implementation of the safe migration information roll-out, in particular by conducting safe migration trainings to returning migrant workers in Quarantine Centers (QCs)
• Coordinate with the IOM Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Operation Assistant and the relevant QC management teams to arrange schedules and prepare for daily training activities
• Ensure returned migrant workers receive adequate information on safe migration, including return and reintegration, as per IOM training materials
• Provide necessary logistic support (i.e. distribute water and snacks to participants in each roll-out training) in coordination with QC staff
• Monitor and record attendance of participants per training
• Report to IOM focal point with accurate attendance and photo image as evidence of work
• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Sub Office (Balochistan/ KP), the UN Volunteer will perform the following functions:

Programme management/ coordination:

1. Provide support to the planning and implementation of program activities of the Rule of Law programme as per the program outcomes.
2. Support effective coordination between the project partners (government partners, UN agencies and CSOs) for impactful and sustainable programme implementation. Maintain an up-to-date database of relevant stakeholders (with all required information) including government departments, CSOs, donors and UN agencies working on Rule of Law, VAW, Governance and Human Rights and keep informed of their work with a view to enhance coordination and information sharing;
3. Support the Identification and establishment of collaborations/ partnerships with civil society, research institutions and resource centres as needed for implementation of project activities;

Knowledge management/ reporting:

4. Support the development of knowledge management strategies, products and methodologies for the programme;
5. Assist in preparing internal documents such as terms of reference, calls for proposals, meeting notes, field visits reports, briefings and other project documents as required;
6. Draft high quality and timely documents for various external audiences such as concept notes, fact sheets, presentations, project updates and donor reports;
7. Maintain regular information management for smooth and timely reporting of program activities at provincial and country level.
8. Support the development and dissemination of communications materials including but not limited to social media posts, press releases, radio messages, video documentaries, etc.

Administrative/ logistical support:

9. Coordinate with operations unit at country office for all logistical/ procurement/ travel/ event organization tasks;
10. Manage and liaise with vendors and service providers engaged for supporting project activities;
11. Assist in the designing and printing of documents and communications materials and their dissemination as per communication plan;
12. Prepare necessary documentation and provide support to travel, monitoring visits, field missions, and events organized through the programme and assist in compiling monitoring reports.

Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Under the supervision of the Chief of Communication, the international UN Volunteer will undertake the following functions:

• Assist in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the advocacy and communication strategy to promote respect for children’s and women’s rights, and support UNICEF's mission in the country with a focus on education.
• Contribute to the implementation of the Partnership to Strengthen the Education System - a partnership between UNICEF and the EU - by providing key communications support to the UNICEF education team. This includes communications activity planning, development of human-interest stories, blog posts and social media content to promote PSES in Lao PDR and internationally and to the promotion of shared EU-UNICEF education messaging. In addition, this role involves support to Partnership to Strengthen the Education System (PSES) donor reporting including the collation of annual communications achievements as part of reporting to the EU.
• Help raise awareness about challenges facing the education sector in Lao PDR and come up with innovative communication approaches.
• Assist in producing campaigns and graphic design content for social media, such as fact graphs, info graphs, and other documents that require simple design such as brochures for donor communication and advocacy purposes with a focus on education.
• Help disseminate studies, research and data on the successes and challenges facing the education sector in Lao PDR to different audiences.
• Assist Communication and Education sections in events, launches, campaigns, and other key communication activities.
• Lead in moderating social media platforms, engage with UNICEF's social media audience, and respond to online queries.
• Conduct social media analysis for UNICEF Lao PDR platforms, measure audience engagement and contribute to building UNICEF’s social media fan base through assessment of key audiences, content planning, content management, search engine optimization, analytics and assessment of effectiveness of platforms and content.
