Under the direct supervision of Child Protection Specialist, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

1. Supports to programme development and planning

• Participates throughout the process of planning and preparation to provide inputs and support to Child Protection Programmes using results-based planning methodology (RBM).
• Assists in preparation of relevant documentations for programme review and approval.

2. Programmemonitoring and delivery of results

• Participates in monitoring and evaluation exercises, programme mid-year and end-year reviews with government and counterparts to assess progress and to determine required actions to achieve results.
• Provides support to monitor Child Protection programmes through monthly data collection and analysis on key child protection indicators (SMQs and RAM) using national surveys, current research, programme reports, field visit reports etc.

3. Technical and operational support to programme implementation

• Facilitate and arrange for programme meetings including programme development and planning, support to administrative tasks as required.
• Assists in drafting of relevant meeting minutes, briefs, power points and other strategic programme materials for management use, information and dissemination.

4. Knowledge Management

• Supports the development of Child Protection Section designated page and related folders on UNICEF Enterprise Management System (sharepoint) in collaboration with the SPERE focal person and Child Protection Team. Support migration of data/resources as well as on-site support to promote collaboration platforms for increased usuage by Child Proection Team for joint planning and programming purposes.
• Assists in compiling contribution to the UNICEF HQ and ROSA E-bulletins and other requests for subsmissions.

5. Innovation and knowledge management

• Helps roll-out of U Report within the Child Protection Programme.

Furthermore, UN Youth Volunteers are required to:

• Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day);
• Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country;
• Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking, including participation in ongoing reflection activities;
• Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.;
• Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Youth Volunteers;
• Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering, or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión del Área de Protección de UNICEF o su representante designado, el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

• Co-liderar la coordinación del Subgrupo de Protección de la Niñez, promoviendo y facilitando la participación activa de los actores clave de protección de la niñez, y coordinando con las instituciones del estado relevantes para responder las necesidades de protección de la niñez en emergencias humanitarias ligadas al conflicto armado y desastres naturales.
• Trabajar con los actores de protección para evaluar las necesidades del sector. Coordinar con otros sectores para incorporar la protección de la niñez en evaluaciones inter-agenciales, para asegurar que se identifiquen las brechas, recursos y necesidades.
• Facilitar la planificación e implementación estratégica de la respuesta del Subgrupo de Protección de la Niñez en la acción humanitaria a través del diseño de un plan de trabajo para el 2021. Asegurar la creación de procesos para monitorear de manera regular que los objetivos marcados en el plan de trabajo se hallan alcanzados.
• Organizar y facilitar una reunión mensual el tercer jueves de cada mes para el intercambio de información entre actores de protección de la niñez en el accionar humanitario.
• Asegurar que se fortalezcan las capacidades de las organizaciones miembro del Subgrupo de Protección de la Niñez, y desarrollar las capacidades nacionales y locales en preparación, respuesta y protección de niños, niñas y adolescentes en el accionar humanitario.
• Colaborar con el Clúster de Protección y con OCHA para asegurar que la información clave de protección de la niñez, los análisis, preocupaciones y respuesta estén reflejados en todos los documentos e iniciativas humanitarias (HRP, Plan de Respuesta de COVID, 345W, SitReps, etc.).
• Abogar por la protección de niñas, niños y adolescentes en el accionar humanitario, y en nombre del Subgrupo de Protección de la Niñez.
• Asegurar que hay un canal de comunicación entre el nivel nacional y los territorios, para promover y fortalecer una respuesta de protección de la niñez más estandarizada en todas las áreas afectadas por emergencias humanitarias ligadas al conflicto armado y desastres naturales. Apoyo técnico a los equipos de coordinación a nivel territorial para incorporar la protección de la niñez en la respuesta humanitaria.
• Participación en las estructuras de coordinación interagencial e interinstitucional a nivel nacional para responder a la protección de la niñez en emergencias ligadas al conflicto armado y desastres naturales.
• Trabajar con el Clúster de Protección y las áreas de responsabilidad (el Subgrupo de Violencia Basada en Género y el Subgrupo de Acción contra minas antipersona) y otros sectores clave para identificar oportunidades para integrar la protección de la niñez en actividades de protección y en la respuesta de otros sectores, evitando duplicación. Asegurar que los subgrupos de protección de la niñez y VBG trabajan juntos para responder a las necesidades de NNA, y prevenir cualquier daño en NNA, aun sin intención, como resultado de una asistencia humanitaria inapropiada.
• Asegurar la integración de áreas transversales como género, PEAS, protección y salvaguardia de la niñez y discapacidad.
• Promover y apoyar la adherencia a las normas mínimas de protección de la niñez y adolescencia en emergencias humanitarias.
• Cualquier otra actividad que se requiera o sea asignada por el supervisor.

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión de la Oficial de Género y Desarrollo/Punto focal de PEAS/AS o su representante designado, el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

1. Apoyo a la implementación y seguimiento al Plan de Acción del Sistema para prevenir y responder a la Explotación y Abuso Sexual, así como al Acoso Sexual en el ámbito laboral (2019-2021). El cuál incluye pero no se limita a:
   
   1. Apoyar al punto focal principal y el equipo de puntos focales de apoyo para PEAS/AS a conocer sus roles y responsabilidades y contar con las herramientas y recursos para poner en marcha, coordinar, monitorear y reportar la implementación y resultados del Plan de Acción de PEAS/AS.
   2. Apoyar que el staff, UNVs, consultores/as, personas de servicios generales de aseo y seguridad de la Oficina de UNICEF en Colombia reciban las herramientas y el conocimiento para reportar, prevenir y responder a casos o sospechas de explotación, abuso y acoso sexual en la Organización.
   3. Apoyar que los socios implementadores y demás asociados en la ejecución de UNICEF Colombia reciban apoyo y herramientas para instalar capacidad en sus organizaciones para prevenir las EAS/AS, y tienen clara la ruta de reporte de casos a UNICEF.
   4. Apoyar que la comunidad participante de los proyectos de UNICEF Colombia tenga acceso a rutas seguras, con enfoque de género, niñez, discapacidad y étnico para informar casos o sospechas de explotación y abuso sexual, y que reciban asistencia inmediata y de calidad cuando son sobreviviente y/o reportan.
   5. Proponer, ajustar y reportar los avances y desafíos de la implementación del Plan de Acción de PEAS/AS de la oficina de UNICEF Colombia.
   6. Participar y apoyar en todas las actividades conexas de la red PEAS/AS Inter agencial.
   7. Apoyar en la evaluación de los sistemas operativos y la capacidad de PEAS/AS a los socios implementadores y asociados en la ejecución de programas y proyectos de UNICEF Colombia.
   8. Desarrollar el plan de formación de capacidades de PEAS/AS para socios implementadores y asociados en la ejecución de UNICEF Colombia.
   9. Apoyar la Estrategia de Comunicaciones externa e interna de PEAS/AS de UNICEF Colombia.

Under the supervision of Private Partnerships Specialist, the UNV Private Partnerships Associate will:

Communication for Private Sector donor Visibility and Trust Building

• Organize and participate in communication/content production missions in the field (storytelling, photography and video recording) to produce content mainly for private sector donors, human interest stories, and produce ad hoc requests by private sector partners/donors;
• Create, edit, repurpose and publish a wide variety of engaging content for digital channels, using audiovisual products (videos, photos, newsletters etc.) targeting the private sector;
• Ensure the accurate, timely and effective delivery of digital content, optimized for search and audience engagement, working closely with the digital team;
• Create and document best practices on LinkedIn and support the office’s efforts in communicating on the platform;
• Provide support in creating and curating content to be disseminated through UNICEF Lebanon platforms contributing to trust building, brand positioning and donor visibility, among other strategies linked to UNICEF Lebanon Private Fundraising and Partnerships Strategy;
• Analyze what works and what does not on LinkedIn, share findings with the digital team and coordinate initiatives to enhance reach and engagement with target audiences through this platform;
• Identify articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to share on LinkedIn, highlighting UNICEF Lebanon results;
• Assist in mapping/identifying major LinkedIn UNICEF accounts and private sector accounts of relevance to the private sector strategy;
• Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on the social media key performance indicators (LinkedIn and Twitter);

Conduct Research and due diligence on Local Private Sector Prospects

• Monitor communication of partner organizations, UN agencies, relevant to the area of private partnerships and fundraising;
• Implement in-depth open-source research on prospect local organizations and feed into the overall local due diligence process;

Administrative support

• Support in private sector event coordination;
• Support in completion of the Contribution In-Kind process liaising with the Supply section as needed;
• Under the coordination of the section’s focal point for partners field visits, support with private sector donor field visits;
• Liaise with Supply and programme colleagues to get updates on private sector related operations, (e.g. Distribution of in-kind donations, etc.);Other tasks related to the area of private partnerships might be required depending on updated plans or areas of the UNV’s interest.

Under the direct supervision of senior civil engineer , National UN Youth Volunteer will:

The main obligation of the youth volunteers is to supervise the construction and the rehabilitation works of housing in the mentioned above locations.

1. House construction:
   • Observe and supervise the work performed by the labours (skilled and unskilled) for reconstruction compliance with the drawings and specifications, in line with PALPOC 's resilient construction standards
   • Assist in approving standards of construction materials and tools before being used in the work.
   • Guide to technical person of Implementing Partner (IP) (NGO/CSOs) where require, request material testing to the designated Laboratory to test for compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
   • Identify potential variations between program and probable completion dates and propose corrective measures to ensure effective and quality delivery of the planned tasks.
   • Assist in performing final inspections of each component of the work for compliance certification.
   • Ensure that the construction/renovation sites are neat and clean as far as possible.
   • Provide inputs in preparing the monthly report of the NGO/CSOs.
   • Guide, recommend and supervise to labors (skilled and unskilled) to ensure safety measures are implemented.
   • supervise, monitor, provide guidance and recommendations based on the agreed standards of resilient construction of PALPOC. Additionally, provide recommendations on the spot to the communities and Artisan for any issues they may face.
   • Provide technical assistance for the design of BOQs, drawings and project requirements to be implemented by the Mozambique Recovery Facility Program in BEIRA.

• House self-repair.
  • Assist to conduct the comprehensive door-to-door damage assessment covering the entire targeting areas for houses repair. The assessment should occur once and be accurate and conclusive. A detailed survey is important for assessing the degree and scale of damage to the housing stock under consistently applicable engineering requirements and according the standards of resilient construction of PALPOC.

   • Participate in the assessment processes of the targeted locations in order to identify the needed plan including the procedures, items and equipment.
   • Participate in preparing the required Bill of Quantities (BoQs) of the relevant renovation and construction activities.
   • Respond to queries arise from procurement unit and review committees related to BoQs and technical specifications.
   • Participate in pre-bid meetings and respond to queries from potential national bidders if related to BoQs and technical specifications.
   • Participate in Technical Review panels for submitted bids and review all bids against the approved BoQs and technical specifications.
   • To participate in supervise all locations of building and provide updates, recommendation to UNDP
   • To participate in checking materials received at construction/renovation sites.
   • Monitor Recovery activities with NGOs and report the progress to the project management.
