Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of EVAW Programme Analyst and Head of Sub-Office the UN Volunteer Networking and Partnership Development Officer will undertake the following tasks:

• Assist in negotiating agreements and setting up implementation mechanisms partners and ensure that agreements are established in conformity with financial rules and the latest instructions.
• Support the Head of UN Women Sub-Office in review the implementation and performance of project activities, including through appropriate physical monitoring to evaluate the projects by reviewing work plans, progress reports, budget, financial reports and expenditures; undertake field visits as required.
• Undertake proper collection, monitoring and use of baselines, standards and indicators needed to measure and analyze programme performance, trends and target interventions.
• Develop and conduct training sessions for grassroots’ women on women’s rights and gender equality topics.
• Use the existing tools to assess the technical soundness of the operation and generate data for evidence-based decisions at the country-level.
• Assist in ensuring compliance in issuance of audit certificates for Implementing Partners.
• Draft minutes from the meetings, the monitoring and other reports (as specified in the individual work plan) to ensure proper documentation of project activities along with an impact and solutions achieved.
• Support establishment and maintenance of networking and cooperation among civil society organizations (CSOs) and volunteers working on GBV and related issues.
• Support the Head of Sub-Office in coordinating UN Women/UNHCR initiatives with other UN Agencies located in Sukhumi;
• Liaise and coordinate with UN Women Office staff as per her/his duties in the individual work plan;
• Provide any other relevant support to the supervisor and/or the Head of Sub-Office, related to UN Women’s mandate and project aims, through performing other duties.

The UN Volunteer will work under the supervision of the UNDP Resident Representative and Deputy Resident Representative, in the key functions listed below. He will also work closely with the Regional Information Management Officer, as part of the UNDP-UNV Tandem Teams Initiative[1].

Data Capture, Management and Analysis:

• Identify key data gaps for informed crisis risk tracking in the country.
• Propose a strategy and implementation plan for capturing required primary data
• Develop a process for and understand primary data gathering (e.g. designing and conducting periodic perception surveys)
• Identify and integrate additional primary and secondary data into the Crisis Risk Dashboard as required by evolving needs including the development, implementation and management of new indicators and corresponding data that are associated with the crisis risk model;
• Propose revisions and improvements to the overall design framework and data requirements for the risk tracking system, using as the key tool the Crisis Risk Dashboard (CRD) – a purpose-designed platform developed by CRU for online information management and data visualization - and ensure content is current, comprehensive, and follows relevant metadata standards;

Data Visualization, Reporting and Application:

• Produce and update information products such as maps, charts, and infographics by turning data into graphical products to convey messages and a storyline as well as support strategic and operational decision-making;
• Explore ways of presenting crisis risk profiles and early warning more effectively through visual representations (charts, graphs, tables and diagrams) through the CRD;
• Provide technical assistance in translating data and other program information into easy visual representations, in accordance with data visualization best practices;
• Consolidate operational information on a regular schedule to support analysis and design and implement sustainable information management and dissemination systems for data collections for the CRD, where required.

Training and Technical Support:

• Provide substantive input on information management toward the development of guidance and training materials in support of the Country Office / Country Team application of the CRD;
• Provide maintenance and end-user technical support in issues relating to the CRD information management use, including troubleshooting for data entry and access to the existing database;
• Provide technical assistance in order to build capacity of staff on how to integrate data visualization approaches into their work as well as how to update and monitor existing dashboards.

• Demonstrate willingness to support other tasks related to the translation of deliverables as assigned by the supervisor.

Under the direct supervision of FIOC Team Leader [Juba] the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

• Collate reports with recommendations where necessary, including daily situation and incident reports & sharing of information with Joint Mission Analysis Centre and Joint Operations Centre;
• Support the FIOC Team Leader (TL) in drafting the monthly thematic report for the mission leadership;
• Support the TL in planning & operational processes for current & future field operations;
• Support the TL to manage the flow of information to be used as a decision-making & planning tool for the field office;
• Support the TL in reviewing logistical & coordination need and install mechanisms to ensure effective operations in the field office;
• Draft scenarios for TTXs and participate in same;
• Draft after action review after TTXs;
• Participate in the crisis management working group;
• Upload the daily situation reports on SAGE database;
• Provide secretariat support during the senior management meetings;
• Support in the day-to-day running of the FIOC;

• Interpréter avec précision de Kiswahili et Kirundi/Kinyamulengue en Français et Anglais et vice versa pour les interviews avec les réfugiés ainsi que pour autres évènements (y compris mais pas exclusivement : campagnes d’information publique, formations, missions, et réunions) ;
• Fournir une reproduction précise des principes et idées dans la langue spécifiée ;
• Utiliser des dictionnaires et/ou glossaires des expressions techniques pour référence si nécessaire ;
