Sous la supervision directe du Chef de bureau de zone et la supervision Technique du Specialiste à l'Informatique et aux Télécommunications le/la Volontaire des Nations Unies effectuera les tâches suivantes:

  • Aider à la planification, installation, entretien et évaluation des services ICT

  • Les logiciels ainsi que les connaissances des membres du personnel sont périodiquement mis à niveau conformément aux directives des ICT,
  • Appuyer les formations et sessions de mise à niveau pour l'utilisation des radios sont faites, si besoin en est ;
  • Aider à maintenir la structure du système de cablage du bureau pour voix et données;
  • S'assurer que tous les points d'accès voix/données sont pleinement fonctionnels ;
  • S'assurer que les utilisateurs sont notifiés par des appels personnels et que les factures téléphoniques individuelles sont générées par le système;
  • Etre en contact avec l'Administration et l'assister dans la préparation de rapports mensuels de l'utilisation du système téléphonique;
  • Appuyer l’identification des domaines dans lesquels les revues et décisions managériales contribueront à l'amélioration du service dans son ensemble ainsi que à l'efficacité des couts;
  • S'assurer que les contrôles requis sont suivis rigoureusement;

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Child Protection Specialist (C4D) or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer for supporting the national campaign will:

  • Assist in the implementation of community engagement activities, in coordination with stakeholders and partner entities as needed:
    • Develop and implement activities that will increase reach and impact of the key messages about healthy habits to reduce covid-19 cases in Jordan;
    • Recommend strategies and implement community engagement activities effectively (keeping in mind the local context);
    • Provide on-ground support to design and multi-media companies to come up to with creative;
    • Document the progress and impact and following-up as needed: gather testimonials from the participants;
  • Support the ongoing national campaign by suggesting new pathways to adapt based on community’s response and carry-out social listening;

Under the direct supervision of PME Chief, the Information Management Officer will be responsible to provide support to the PM&E section in performing the below mentioned planning, monitoring, studies and evaluation tasks which are related to UNICEF Jordan’s COVID 19 response especially in the areas of Risk Communication and Community Engagement Efforts (RCCE).

1- Support the office-wide annual work planning, reporting, review and risk management activities;

  • Technically support the office-wide work planning and review activities for COVID-19 related activities especially in the areas of RCCE.
  • Support UNICEF Country Annual Reporting process by consolidating inputs and performing quality check;
  • Monitor management indictors (global KPIs) and implementation of the follow- up actions agreed at key management meetings/events;
  • Update and maintain country programme monitoring dashboard;
  • Organise monthly programme coordination meetings in consultation with the Deputy Representative;
  • Support UNICEF Country Annual Reporting process by consolidating inputs and performing quality check;
  • Support partners’ capacity building activities in risk management.

2- Assist evaluations, studies and researches that are impartial, independent, credible and meet professional standards.

  • Support COVID-19 related studies and evaluations conducted by staff members and consultants;
  • Provide scheduling and logistical support for individual evaluations and evaluation field visits;
  • Support the application of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis tools, techniques and approaches in the area of COVID-19;
  • Ensure that that evaluation findings and recommendations are followed- up;
  • Submit evaluation and study reports to the UNICEF database;
  • Assist in monitoring of evaluation management responses;
  • Participate in meetings, workshops and other fora to discuss the importance and usefulness of evaluation results;
  • Update IMEP and undertake knowledge management activities in support to the evaluation function.

3- SDG monitoring

  • Work with other UN agencies in supporting any SDG monitoring related tasks;
  • Assist the country in embedding evaluation evidence in Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs);
  • Provide support to the development of training materials for national counterparts and implementing partners.

Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, e.g. University degree in social science, economics, public administration or related field.

Within the delegated authority and under the Deputy Representative or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer (Monitoring Officer) will support:

  1. Coordination and collaboration with UN Agencies and Government partners to advance on the Agenda 2030 and the SDGs and to deliver UN comprehensive response to Covid-19:
  • Support design, formulation, and implementation, monitoring and reporting of UN joint programmes, and joint programming processes amongst UN entities with a view for joint resource mobilization;
  • Provide technical support to UN Social Development Results Group chaired by UNICEF in close collaboration with participating agencies and Government departments for UN Strategic Cooperation Framework (CdCS);
  • Support design, formulation, and implementation, monitoring and reporting of UNICEF response to COVID-19 aligned with the United Nations response to COVID-19;
  • support internal coordination work of UN Social Development Results Group chaired by UNICEF and the formulation and development of the Joint Work Plans through organizing meetings and maintaining records, and meeting the requirements of the to RCO from UNICEF in a timely manner maintaining quality in all aspects of planning and reporting;
  • Through active participation in RCO meetings as well as other inter-agency working groups providing updates on UN’s engagement in Algeria, provide inputs and recommendations to inform decision-making by the UNCT in relation to repositioning of the UN System in Algeria.
  1. Undertake Advocacy and Communication activities in Algeria
  • Contribute and provide inputs to strategic advocacy and communication advise to UNICEF on the 2030 Agenda considering Algeria country context and boost impact of programmatic objectives particularly related to response plan to Covid-19;
  • Together with UNICEF communication for development officer and UN communication colleagues, support of the COVID-19 risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) response;
  • Together with UN communication colleagues in Algeria, work on messaging for social media posts, review and provide inputs to advocacy materials considering Algeria context;
  • Monitor media in the areas related to the UNICEF's mandate and programmes in Algeria, as well as other issues relevant to the UNICEF brand and positioning;

  1. Coordination of the Research, Evaluation and quality assurance work within and outside the organization:
  • Support the design and implementation of the study on socioeconomic impact of the Covid-19 and other relevant UN analytical work in close coordination with the RCO and UN agencies;
  • extend technical support and contribute significantly to “Evaluation” work being undertaken by the ACO which entails strengthening the evaluation systems and processes within the office and working with the Government and the partners to strengthen the national evaluation capacities in Algeria;
  • Support additional activities relating to quality assurance, Results Based Management and planning and monitoring.

  • A Master degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g. Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Sciences or other related fields);

  • Coordinate with the relevant stakeholders and mainly the DOHs within the southern provinces the project plan.
  • Assist in implementation of project activities across the supported provinces in coordination with the Health section and other sections as required.
  • Maintain relevant and UpToDate data about the COVID -19 situation in affected districts and project response activities and the progress in implementation.
  • Maintain close follow up with the relevant DOHs and stakeholders and provide weekly progress feedback in coordination with the section.
  • Conducted or actively participate in Field Monitoring visits regarding the COVID-19 Response and project implementation.
  • Document and upload all relevant COVID-19 data in e-tools or other platform as requested.
  • Weekly updates and Monthly reports on the progress, of activities and response.
