Sous la supervision direcete du specialiste de la nutrition du bureau de l’UNICEF à Goma, le/la VNU National s’acquittera principalement des tâches suivantes :

Coordination generale :

  • Organiser des réunions régulières pour coordonner la réponse nutritionnelle et relever les défis communs.
  • Identifier les lacunes et plaider pour une réponse adéquate et efficace
  • Assurez-vous que la liste de contacts des membres du cluster est régulièrement mise à jour.
  • Représenter le cluster nutrition à la réunion inter-cluster régionale (IC) et apporter les contributions et les préoccupations du cluster nutrition.

Évaluation et analyse des besoins

  • En consultation avec les partenaires, mener une analyse contextuelle sectorielle.
  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre un plan d’évaluation des besoins et une base de données des résultats d’évaluation
  • Veiller à ce que les rapports d'évaluation soient largement disponibles et en temps opportun.
  • Mener une analyse de la situation nutritionnelle
  • En l'absence du responsable de la gestion de l’information, assurer la collecte, l'analyse et le partage des informations pertinentes pour les partenaires NC.
  • Veiller à ce que la population affectée soit consultée dans la planification et la mise en œuvre des évaluations nutritionnelles.

Plan de réponse opérationnelle : conforme au manuel de coordination du cluster national de nutrition;

  • Définir, avec les membres du cluster, les priorités géographiques, démographiques et programmatiques conformément au cluster national de nutrition.
  • Traiter les priorités et les lacunes et veiller à éviter la duplication des activités
  • Contribuer aux produits du cluster national de nutrition liés au cycle du programme humanitaire,
  • Veiller à ce que les perspectives et la contribution des populations affectées soient prises en compte dans le plan de réponse du cluster nutrition.
  • Veiller à ce que les questions transversales (y compris le sexe / l'âge, la protection des enfants, le handicap, la RRC, le relèvement précoce, le renforcement des capacités locales…) soient prises en compte dans le plan de réponse du cluster nutrition.
  • Contribuer au groupe de coordination inter-clusters au niveau infranational et à d'autres forums humanitaires pertinents.

Mise en œuvre et suivi

  • Encourager tous les acteurs concernés du secteur de la nutrition à faire partie du cluster nutrition.
  • Assurer la disponibilité des dernières orientations techniques spécifiques au pays pour le cluster nutrition (PCMA, ANJE, WASH en NUT, transferts monétaires…).
  • Fournir des mises à jour régulières aux partenaires sur des questions techniques (nationales et mondiales).
  • S'assurer que les membres du cluster nutrition sont conscients de la protection et des voies d'aiguillage contre la VBG.
  • Veiller à ce que les préoccupations et les commentaires des populations touchées soient pris en compte dans le système de surveillance et l'analyse du cluster.
  • Faciliter la collecte / le partage des leçons apprises.
  • Contribuer aux évaluations couvrant le projet des partenaires et diriger l’évaluation de la réponse du cluster nutrition.

Préparation

  • Les actions minimales de préparation du cluster sont déterminées, mises en œuvre et suivies.

En el marco de la autoridad delegada y bajo la supervisión de la Jefa del Área de Protección Infantil o su representante designado, el Voluntario de la ONU llevará a cabo las siguientes tareas:

  1. Monitorear la situación de los niños, niñas y adolescentes (NNA) bajo el Protocolo de Protección a Migrantes (MPP), así como de otros niños, niñas y adolescentes migrantes, particularmente los no acompañados, en Ciudad Juárez y las áreas circundantes, según sea necesario.
  2. Coordinar la respuesta de UNICEF en cuanto a población MPP y migrante en Ciudad Juarez.
  3. Brindar orientación al equipo de protección de UNICEF en Ciudad Juarez para el despliegue efectivo de la respuesta, asegurando la coherencia de las intervenciones, así como la supervisión y el monitoreo.
  4. En coordinación con la Jefa de Protección y la Representante Adjunta, definir la estrategia de apoyo a mediano plazo, que se enfoque en el fortalecimiento de capacidades, la implementación de la Ruta de Protección para NNA en situación de Migración, y la implementación del Modelo de Cuidados Alternativos.
  5. Propiciar y mantener una coordinación estrecha con autoridades, miembros de la sociedad civil, con otras agencias ONU (OIM y ACNUR), identificando necesidades, adaptando la respuesta de forma estratégica y asegurando una buena colaboración.
  6. Asistir a reuniones interinstitucionales con socios gubernamentales, organizaciones internacionales y organizaciones de la sociedad civil sobre la situación de NNA bajo el MPP y migrantes.
  7. Fortalecer la coordinación de UNICEF con las autoridades de protección, así como con los proveedores de servicios de atención en México, en caso de que niñas, niños y adolescentes lo requieran.
  8. Mantener una comunicación regular con el equipo de Protección para asegurar una orientación estratégica.

El beneficio principal de prestar servicio como Voluntario/a ONU es la satisfacción personal que brinda la asignación de voluntariado, puesto que implica repercutir de manera positiva en favor de la paz y el desarrollo. Sin embargo, el programa Voluntarios de las Naciones Unidas ofrece apoyo durante su asignación de varias maneras.

El programa VNU cubrirá:

  • El viaje de traslado al lugar de la asignación y subsidio de instalación y repatriación (si es aplicable), que serán provistos en el caso de que el destino de trabajo no se encuentre a una distancia razonable del lugar de residencia del voluntario.
  • Un subsidio VLA (Volunteer Living Allowance) de **MXN 24,597.83** que será proporcionado mensualmente para cubrir los costos de alojamiento, vivienda y gastos normales de subsistencia. Los seguros de vida, salud e invalidez permanente están incluidos, así como un subsidio de reinstalación por un servicio satisfactorio. Under the guidance and supervision of the Deputy Head of the GEF Secretariat and in close collaboration with other colleagues on the team, the selected candidates would be expected to provide accurate translation services in a manner that reflects the true meaning and understanding of each text.

Specific tasks include:

  • Review, translate, edit, and proof-read all GEF-related documents, email texts and communication materials, meeting relevant deadlines and ensuring a high level of quality, accuracy, coherence and comprehension.
  • Work closely with designated staff and experts to ensure consistency and accuracy on terminology, word choice, style and quality.
  • Apply a gender-sensitive lens to all translated material, utilizing approved UN terminology.
  • Demonstrate willingness to support other tasks related to the translation of deliverables as assigned by the supervisor.

Furthermore, UN Volunteers are encouraged to integrate the UN Volunteers programme mandate within their assignment and promote voluntary action through engagement with communities in the course of their work. As such, UN Volunteers should dedicate a part of their working time to some of the following suggested activities:

  • Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day);
  • Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country;
  • Provide annual and end of assignment self- reports on UN Volunteer actions, results and opportunities.
  • Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.;
  • Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Volunteers;
  • Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering, or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.

Master degree or equivalent
  • Masters or equivalent in languages, social science, literature, linguistics, law or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience and expertise in translation, proof-reading and editing work.

  • Proven computer skills;
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues relevant for UN Women’s work;
  • Proven expertise in proof-reading and translating reports and long papers from United Nations and/or international organizations;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables;
  • Fluent in English and at least one of the following: French, Spanish, Arabic. Multi-linguistic abilities will be given preference.

Applicants must be students of any academic program (BA/BSc, Masters, PhD) and keep this status during the whole duration of their assignment, or be recent graduates.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Human Resources Officers responsible for the Internship Programme or their designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will:

  • Assist with the development of a career development plan for interns
  • Assist with the development of networking events for interns
  • Assist with the onboarding process for interns
  • Collect testimonial from interns to showcase the programme and raise awareness
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Internship Community on SharePoint page to provide information to interns on upcoming events and other general information
  • Maintain Social Network Groups for interns (Yammer/Facebook) and invite current and former interns to be part of the community
  • Share relevant news and posts within the groups to create awareness
