Sous la supervision générale du Conseiller Technique en Santé Sexuelle et directe de l’Analyste de Programme Égalité des Genre et Autonomisation des Filles, le/la Volontaire des Nations Unies effectuera les tâches suivantes :

  • Apporter un appui technique sur la mobilisation de jeunes autour des activités du projet, spécifiquement ;
  • Appuyer à la mobilisation des jeunes filles et garçons, faisant partie des principaux acteurs, tout au long de la mise en œuvre du projet ;
  • Appuyer l’implication des comités « les hommes s’engagent » et SOPs pour soutenir la lutte contre les VBG et Covid-19, à travers un journal téléphone de partage d’informations ;
  • Appuyer de façon innovante la conception et/ou l’adaptation de matériel de communication pour la protection des adolescent.es et sa diffusion sur les canaux appropriés disponibles ;
  • Appuyer l’organisation d’un atelier de co-création sur les méthodes d’implication des jeunes et d’un ensemble d’outils de communication, y compris feuille de route, sensible aux jeunes ;
  • Appuyer l’élaboration d’un plan de renforcement capacités de 1150 jeunes, dont au moins 750 jeunes filles, sur les normes minimales de prévention et la réponse des VBG en situation d’urgence et appuyer à sa mise en œuvre ;
  • Appuyer les jeunes et réseaux de jeunes pour la création de contenu, l’utilisation et la vulgarisation des plateformes de lutte contre les VBG, y compris numériques (Ma Vie, Mon Choix, Mapathon, Fati », ado-violence-Covid-19…) ;
  • Appuyer l’organisation d’ateliers départementaux de sensibilisation sur le dialogue parents/ado et sur la SSR, VBG & Covid-19 ;
  • Appuyer la mise en place d’une plateforme fonctionnelle de veille d’étudiant-e-s sur les VBG en milieu universitaire ;
  • Appuyer l’organisation d’une campagne de communication digitale (Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp…) dans les communautés pour le changement de comportement des jeunes ;
  • Appuyer la supervision directe des VNU Youth « Champion.ne.s » ;
  • Assister toute autre activité jugée pertinente, notamment les activités de plaidoyer sur les thématiques de l’égalité des genres, de la jeune fille et des violences basées sur le genre
  • Participer à toutes autres missions confiées par le Bureau.
Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Avoir un niveau Bac+3 au moins en sciences sociales, communication, Gestion, ou domaine similaire.

  • Avoir des connaissances en matière de genre et Violences Basées sur le Genre (VBG).

Under the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer – Gender and Adolescents and Youth (A&Y) and overall guidance of the Programme Specialist A&Y, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Work closely with relevant programme staff in the field and in Dhaka, of the A&Y unit, to support the implementation of all A&Y unit’s interventions at district level by;

  • Providing administrative support to the A&Y related projects implemented in the relevant district.

  • Liaising with the Department of Women Affairs/MoWCA and Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education/MoE at district level, as appropriate, to support the provision of life skills education interventions to adolescents and motivate adolescents to engage in the A&Y unit’s project interventions.

  • Supporting the project interventions by ensuring the availability of resource material, conducting effective sessions and enabling adolescents to use project resources and communication materials.

  • Acting as the youth focal person whom adolescents can reach out to for addressing specific issues and questions.

  • Networking with other adolescent groups/clubs/organizations to ensure their participation in UNFPA’s programmes.

  • Providing necessary support to ensure effective field missions, hospitality events and small scale training programmes.

  • Supporting the quarterly fund disbursement processes of the Implementing Partners using FACE form.

  • Assisting the A&Y unit on all programming and procurement related issues.

  • Preparing bill payments and create requisitions (as applicable) for the A&Y unit.

  • Working with different partner organizations including the media, as and when required.

  • Maintaining documents for filing purposes of the A&Y unit – with a special emphasis on project interventions.

  • Work in coordination with other UNFPA staff (field officers), as appropriate, at the field to implement UNFPA mandated activities

  • Writing reports, blog entries and articles related to adolescent and youth related projects.

  • Working closely with programme staff and the UNV secretariat on developing training modules on volunteerism, sustainable development goals, social entrepreneurship and gender issues for young people;

  • Networking and building relationships with local and international youth organizations, community initiative groups, NGOs and participate in local initiatives that promote volunteerism;

The Communication Associate position is located at the UNFPA Country Office and reports to the Programme Analyst Communication.

The Communication Associate is part of a team led by the Head of Office. He/She works in close collaboration with the Programme and Operation Teams. He / She is under the direct supervision of the Programme Analyst Communications to ensure effective support to UNFPA CO on communication and visibility matters of UNFPA’s Peacebuilding Project.

The successful candidate will:

  • The following tasks are to be performed under this contract:

    Audio-visual content production

    • Lead photography and maintenance of an up-to-date photo bank of high-resolution images capturing the Country Office’s interventions
    • Lead the conceptualization, filming and editing of video content for the Country Office
    • Support vendors working on high-level audiovisual content with concept guidance, scripting and editing
    • Ensure branding and style compliance in the production of all audiovisual content

    Graphic design and product development

    • Lead the graphic designing of communication and public information products such as briefs, reports, newsletters, flyers and factsheets.
    • Develop a bank of infographic cards capturing information and data on Country Office intervention areas and adapted for various platforms, including social media.
    • Ensure compliance with UNFPA’s branding standards and guidelines.
    • Liaise with and support vendors delivering high-level graphic design services to the Country Office.

    Communication and Media relations

    • Support the design and implementation of media strategies that advance UNFPA visibility and program utilization.
    • Coordinate responses to incoming media inquiries, review of press releases, and relevant news coverage monitoring.
    • Expand digital dissemination outlets for information sharing such as websites, webinars, social media, videos, data visualizations, infographics, email list serves, etc.
    • Support visibility and public information of UNFPA at events and engagements through the preparation and positioning of high-quality knowledge products
    • Support Communication Team in organizing communications capacity building activities for staff and Implementing Partners
    • Support communications team in creating creative and consistent content for the Country Office website and social media platform.
    • Any other tasks assigned.

  • Post-secondary school diploma in communications, mass media or related field.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, mass media or a related field is an added advantage
