• The UNV Community Volunteers Coordinator will develop a detailed work plan including recruitment strategy for recruiting 131 Community Volunteers for LIUPC projects
• They will provide all necessary support to the UNV Bangladesh and UNDP project team to facilitate recruitment for CUNVs, who will be based at 19 cities of the country. The UN Volunteers will closely work with the UNV Programme Assistant of UNV Bangladesh, who is responsible for HR functions.

Under the overall supervision of UNDP and CICETE, as well as the direct supervision of the National Project Director of Project Management Office (PMO) for Neixiang Project, the National UN volunteer’s (NUNV) work will mainly focus on the local implementation of a poverty reduction and sustainable development demonstration project in impoverished area, and support projects relevant to rural capacity building. She/he assists in advocating and mainstreaming the rights-based approach to development programming and implementation. The job involves maintaining constructive relationships with local partners in Henan, goverenments, private sector, civil society organizations, other UN agencies, and donors, coordinating related issues to ensure project completion on time.

The project will introduce advanced development concepts, enhance the understanding and capacity of leading cadres and civil servants, mobilize the private sector, social forces and other stakeholders to actively participate in local sustainable development, community governance, ecotourism, inclusive finance, an improvement of public services, especially the well-being of women, youth and children. This project focuses on promoting international cooperation in the field of sustainable development, gernerating and sharing knowledge and experience, strengthening public-private partnerships, integrating relevant technologies and financial resources, advancing innovative working modality, and engaging more key stakeholders in the process of addressing environmental challenges, rural revitalisation, public services, inequality, climate change, conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable development.

Specifically, the NUNV is expected to perform the following functions:

• Guiding the project implementation

• Support implementing partners to manage process according to the UNDP Project Management System and related requirements. Organize implementation and management training sessions if it is necessary.
• Support implementing partners to complete formal management, implementation, and other related regulations.
• Report to CICETE and UNDP on any irregularity of implementation in a timely manner.

• Project Monitoring

• Monitor and record project activities, output, impact qualitatively and quantitatively, as well as related risks (Pay special attention on the participation and benefit received for low-income families and women).

Working with Communications Specialists and UNDP’s various units, the Digital Communications Officer will use available UNDP Malaysia material to create compelling, visually appealing, and shareable content. The position will design and implement coverage strategies across social media platforms, for key events and knowledge products; as well as ensure social media implementation of specific UN International days.

The role will maintain the digital communications calendar as part of the coverage for the Country Office’s activities and/or on-going digital campaigns. The Digital Communications Offcer will work closely with programme and/or project colleagues to support online reporting, information sharing and promotion of UNDP’s activities, events and knowledge products, as well as assisting in the publishing of quarterly email newsletters. They will also be responsible to provide monthly reports on UNDP Malaysia’s online platform using latest metrics via variety of online measuring tools.

Ideally, the Digital Communications Officer is an experienced creative writer with basic graphic editing skills used to create innovative content, adapted to match specific requirements of each platform and its audience, while amplifying UNDP Malaysia’s online presence in line with UNDP brand guidelines. The role will effectively support different programme/project teams in the promotion of their events and knowledge products. The position will report to the Communications Specialist, and work closely with the programme units.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Communications Specialist or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Digital Communications Officer will:

• Work closely with the Communications Specialist and/or Programme team to produce enriching engaging content for UNDP Malaysia’s platforms. In particular, the UN Volunteer will conduct thorough research on industry-related topics and generate ideas for new content types in support of UNDP Malaysia’s work, with a flair for producing online content and have an eye for details. • Fournir régulièrement des informations/données pour la mise à jour des plateformes de communication du PNUD.
• Fournir des contributions pour la préparation des rapports de projet (y compris les rapports mensuels, trimestriels et annuels).
• Participer aux différentes réunions relatives au projet et prendre part à toutes les initiatives pertinentes liées au projet et mises en œuvre par les partenaires impliqués.
• Informer les équipes nationales et régionales de tout retard dans la mise en œuvre des activités du projet et suggérer des moyens de réorientation les activités en question.

Coordination des parties prenantes et création de partenariats :

• Assurer la participation effective et l'appropriation de toutes les parties prenantes dans les différentes activités au niveau national.
• Faciliter les échanges réguliers entre les partenaires clés et les parties prenantes au niveau national pour les informer de l'état d'avancement du projet et rechercher l'alignement avec des initiatives complémentaires.
• Soutenir le développement de partenariats et de relations de travail efficaces avec les partenaires du PNUD, y compris les agences des Nations Unies, les partenaires de mise en œuvre, les institutions gouvernementales, les partenaires techniques et financiers, donateurs bilatéraux et multilatéraux, les OSC et le secteur privé.
• Contribuer à la préparation des documents de projet ou des notes conceptuelles sur la base des besoins exprimés par les acteurs au niveau national, des leçons apprises et des bonnes pratiques.

Apprentissage et partage des connaissances :

• Assurer la liaison avec l'équipe de projet, les équipes du bureau pays du PNUD, d’autres agences des Nations Unies et les autres partenaires sur le partage des connaissances, par l'identification et la synthèse des ressources d'information, des leçons apprises et des meilleures pratiques.
• Capturer sous différents formats, les bonnes pratiques et les leçons apprises de la mise en œuvre du projet au niveau national.
• Contribuer à l'élaboration de produits et d'outils de connaissance.
• Contribuer à la mise en place d'un système de gestion des connaissances et au partage des leçons apprises en relation avec les résultats du projet, préparer et produire des études de cas selon les besoins.
• Soutenir la communication et le plaidoyer sur les principales réalisations.
• Améliorer la visibilité de l'action et des acquis du projet régional sur la RRC, le climat, les risques et la résilience dans les médias sociaux et d'autres plateformes telles que les sites web, en assurant des mises à jour régulières et en maintenant la qualité et la pertinence du contenu.
• Apporter des contributions dans des différents réseaux de connaissances et aux communautés des praticiens.
• Effectuer toute autre tâche qui pourrait être assignée par le superviseur.

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

• Undertakes day-to-day clinical duties, e.g. walk-in clinic, emergencies& stabilization of critical patients. Overall supervision, management, coordination clinical operations of the Fever Clinic, Isolation ward during the outbreak/pandemic.
• Follow up and tracking of the positive cases and direct contacts.
• Undertake day-to-day occupational health duties: pre-placement and periodic medical examinations prepare UN staff for travelling providing immunizations, malaria prophylaxis, travel kits, unless otherwise advice by the UN Health Manager.
• Refers staff to outside specialists as necessary.
• Follows-up with outside specialists
• Provides health education and health promotion programs, with special emphasis to the prophylaxis of the relevant diseases of the outbreak.
• Organizes/Participates in addressing work environment and occupational health issues.

Medico Administrative Duties:

• Advises Administration on medical standards for recruitment, sick leave, and medical evacuations/repatriations as per United Nations policies and guidelines.
• Participates in drafting and implementation of business continuity and crises preparedness plans for the duty station/mission.
• Manages/Supports day-to-day operations.
• Deputizes for the UN Health Manager during his/her absence, when applicable.
• Supervisory Administration of the Fever Clinic:
• Supervises laboratory technicians’ nurses and medical administrative staff; ensures availability of drugs and medical supplies and proper functioning of medical equipment.
• Ensures appropriate training programs are implemented in order to maintain and develop the medical capabilities (e.g. health education, dedicated training related to the pertaining outbreak) health education, health promotion and prevention, first aid and CPR).
• Organised the shift roster to ensure coverage of the fever clinic 24/7
• Performs other related duties as required.
