Sous la supervision directe de la Spécialiste C4D et la chargée de Programmes Adolescence et Jeunesse, le/la Volontaire des Nations Unies effectuera les tâches suivantes:

  • Lire et prendre connaissance de l’ensemble de la documentation C4D et ADAP existante et les actions en cours ;
  • Soutenir le développement, la mise en œuvre et le suivi-évaluation des stratégies de changement de comportements pour/par et avec les adolescent.e.s et les jeunes ;
  • Etablir une cartographie détaillée des réseaux existants au niveau national et assurer la mobilisation de ces derniers dans les différentes initiatives mises en œuvre ;
  • Développer et soutenir le renforcement de partenariats avec les réseaux et organisations de jeunes et autres partenaires, pour la participation de ces derniers dans des activités visant le changement social et de comportement ;
  • Soutenir pour assurer une participation significative des adolescents et des jeunes dans les initiatives et actions lancées ;
  • Soutenir dans le développement et le lancement de nouvelles initiatives/programmes novateurs (nouvelle plateforme digitale etc…)
  • Tout autre travail requis par les superviseurs du poste.

Given the current working arrangements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tasks described here-below will have to be undertaken remotely in whichever country the selected candidate is based, until further notice.

Under the direct supervision of Head – Programme Coherence/Assurance Unit the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Monitors project review processes and schedules related to the unit’s outputs; where applicable, assists in the verification of receipt and accuracy of requisite documents, approvals, signatures, etc. to ensure compliance with relevant administrative requirements.
  • Maintains calendar/schedules; monitors change and communicates relevant information to appropriate staff inside and outside the immediate work unit.
  • Supports a wide range of administrative roles such as recruitment, procurement, contract administration, travel and consultant payments as per UN administrative and financial rules, regulations and guidelines.
  • Provides secretarial and administrative support to Project Review Committee (PRC) meetings, conferences.
  • Monitors the UNEP-PRC email to ensure PCAU actions on requests within set timelines.
  • Responds or drafts responses to routine correspondence and other communications; uses standard word processing package to produce a wide variety of communication documents, memos and reports.
  • Support tracking project submissions to PRC Secretariat.
  • Performs data entry and extraction functions on Microsoft excel.
  • Generates a variety of standard statistical reports, etc., using various databases.
  • Maintains files (both paper and electronic) and databases for work unit.
  • Tracks email communications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Under the direct supervision of Secretary of Governing Bodies and Deputy Secretary of Governing Bodies, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  • Assist in organizing and supporting the meetings of the UNEP Governing Bodies, in particular OECPR and UNEA.
  • Support the staff of the unit in all matters related to the application of Information Technology, including user support, and the application of social media
  • Provide IT support to the servicing of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) and the Open-ended CPR.
  • Contribute to the regular update of unit website contents and that of marine litter.
  • Develop and maintain mobile application for UNEA delegates
  • Maintain the Paper smart portal by troubleshooting and solving bugs in the system
  • Develop new modules as required by the secretary of the governing bodies for the paper smart portal
  • Prepare questionnaires, surveys etc. in their design and online mode.
  • Manage the GoToMeeting or any virtual meeting tool that the secretariat uses in its meetings
