An additional 2 years of relevant work experience in combination with a relevant first university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) may substitute for the requirement for a Master’s degree.

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Country Programme and close coordination with the International Shelter/WASH Specialist and National Engineer, he/she will implement the construction work undertaken by UN-Habitat partners with the aim of accomplishing the task in the most effective manner on agreed time schedule and ensure the facilitation of and smooth implementation of UN-Habitat programmes/projects. “Response to the Socio-Economic Impact of Flash Flooding through Rehabilitation of Damaged Houses and Upgrading Stormwater Facilities in Aden and Al-Hawtah in Yemen” aiming at mitigating the impact of flash flooding and reducing the risk of climate induced natural disasters to enhance resilience of vulnerable communities in Aden and Al-Hawtah Cities from recent flooding. The National Engineer represents UN-Habitat in the site level coordination meetings at the local level and ensure proper advocacy for the UN-Habitat roles and responsibilities and shares information on the progress of works on different projects on the ground, the National Engineer will: Specifically, the he/she shall:
