Sous la supervision directe du chef de l’unité Radio, le/la Volontaire de l’ONU / Producteur Radio aura les tâches suivantes :

  • Participer à la planification, à l’organisation et à la coordination des opérations de l’unité Radio de la mission, conformément à son mandat;
  • Développer des idées de contenu et de grille d’antenne pour MIKADO FM qui émet 24h/24;
  • Lancer de nouveaux projets radio, et développer, rédiger et enregistrer, selon les besoins, des programmes de radio originaux, des spots, des reportages et programmes d’actualités pour diffusion en français;
  • Travailler avec l’équipe nationale à la production quotidienne de contenus de qualité sur les antennes de Mikado FM;
  • Créer des identités de programme, des thèmes musicaux, des styles, et superviser/entreprendre toute autre tâche de production;
  • Participer au renforcement des capacités des collègues nationaux à travers le coaching, le mentorat ou le partage d’expériences;
  • Participer au développement et à la mise en œuvre de la stratégie numérique de Mikado FM, incluant les réseaux sociaux, en veillant notamment à la qualité de la langue et des productions;
  • S’assurer de la mise en œuvre d’une programmation juste, équilibrée, impartiale et respectueuse des normes élevées en matière d’information;
  • Sous la direction du/de la Chef de la Radio, préparer des rapports périodiques sur l'état de mise en œuvre la stratégie de la radio;
  • Entretenir les relations de travail les autres sections de la MINUSMA, les agences des Nations Unies, les organisations non gouvernementales, la société civile dans le but d’enrichir la programmation de Mikado FM;
  • Développer des relations de travail avec le secteur des médias du pays hôte et au niveau international;
  • S’acquitter le cas échéant de toute autre tâche selon les besoins ;
Master degree or equivalent

Diplôme universitaire du niveau de Maîtrise en journalisme, communication ou autre discipline connexe. À défaut, un diplôme universitaire de premier cycle assorti d'une expérience professionnelle pertinente peut être acceptée.

Under the direct supervision of the Head of UNMIK Office of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs (OSCPA), the UN Volunteer undertakes the following tasks:

  • Drafts engaging human interest stories, features and multimedia scripts about the mission and its implementing partners’ activities and their impact, for dissemination on the mission public platforms (e.g. mission website and social media platforms);
  • Drafts complex and politically sensitive material such as press releases, if-asked lines, press packs, messages, talking points, and responses to media enquiries;
  • Proofreads and copyedits drafts prepared by other officers;
  • Plays a leading role in implementing the digital communications strategy of the office; keeping the mission website and social media platforms updated on a regular basis; provides support to other offices to keep information about their office and activities up-to-date on the mission digital platforms;
  • Assists the section chief in planning, coordinating and overseeing the production of a range of multi-media content (ex. photo stories and videos) in promoting issues in support of the mission’s mandate and its communications strategy;
  • Assists the section chief in designing and implementing public information campaigns, outreach events and programmatic activities in support of the mission mandate;
  • Contributes to internal communications of the mission and the office administrative tasks (ex. Drafting staff broadcasts, memos and reports);
  • Assists the section chief in designing and implementing programmatic activities (ex. drafting project proposals; liaising with implementing partners);
  • Represents the head of the office in meetings and events if and when required;

  • This job requires excellent storytelling and writing skills and practical knowledge of news writing conventions, including but not limited to ability to draft human-interest stories and edit/proofread and summarise English documents.

Under the direct supervision of the Adolescent Development Active Participation (ADAP) specialist (NO-3) the UNV provides professional, technical, operational and administrative assistance on rolling out and facilitating all work related to Generation Unlimited from development planning to delivery of results. This includes preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative program tasks to facilitate the Generation unlimited development and implementation as well as follow-up with UNICEF team and partners, programme progress, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and draft possible proposals for fundraising.

He/she will be responsible for the following key functions/accountabilities:

  1. Develop and operationalize a mechanism for adolescents and young people participation in decision making:

Support in developing and working with the adolescents counselling teams in SoP:

To promote adolescent’s participation and encourage the government and UN agencies to work with young people the UNV will support the coordination between young people and different UN agencies and government bodies to give young people and an active role to participate in decision making and programs related to them. The UNV will work closely with young people and partners to equip young people with the needed skills and knowledge to work actively with the policy makers and service providers.

  • Support Adolescents active participation, including in decision making. Coordinate with the UNVs supporting GenU initiative to ensure their active role in decision making at all levels of implementation and documentation.
  • Develop mechanisms for adolescent participation in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies targeting them.
  • Document the information related to adolescents needs and services.
  • Work closely with young people to identify challenges and solutions which could help the UN agencies and government in the development of national policies and design of a national strategy to address these challenges.

2. Support in the documentation on the Generation Unlimited initiative (GenU).

  • Draft communication and information materials for CO programme advocacy to promote awareness, establish partnership/alliances and support fundraising for the Adolescent and Youth component of the country’s programme. These include Human Interest Stories, reports or factsheets and other relevant documents on UNICEF ADAP work or GenU in SoP.
  • GenU documentation and reporting; Support in data gathering and information from partners to include in the reports requested by the RO and HQ. Work closely with Regional Office (RO) colleagues to provide them with latest developments on GenU
  • Support in the coordination with all stakeholders taking part in the GenU initiative. Provide expertise and advocate for the initiative, providing information and situation of GenU at global level and in SoP.

  1. Support the implementation of GIGA initiative State of Palestine.

  • Support in the coordination and information sharing between MoE and UNICEF.
  • Support in mapping the school connectivity in SoP, by providing the information requested from the MoE to UNICEF innovation team in HQ.
  1. Technical and operational support in the development of the National Youth Volunteering Service programme.

  • Work closely with the UNVs hosted at the PMO and UNFPA, and report to the ADAP specialist on the achievements and challenges faced on the implementation of the agreed on deliverables under the work plan will be developed between the UN agencies and the PMO to support the platform.
