UN Volunteer assignments funded by the Government of Australia

In 2019, the Government of Australia, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme entered into a partnership to provide volunteering opportunities for Australian nationals to support the UN system and the implementation of Agenda 2030. Australia is providing funding for around 15 UN Volunteer assignments, which focus on human rights (including disability inclusion, gender equality and women’s empowerment) and UN reform. The assignments are open to Australian nationals, including dual citizens.
