Le Rapport sur l'état du volontariat dans le monde de 2018 Le fi l qui nous relie est une publication phare des Nations Unies qui présente de nouvelles données sur le rôle du volontariat dans le renforcement de la résilience des communautés. Il constate que les communautés apprécient le volontariat car il leur permet de créer des stratégies collectives pour faire face à divers défi s économiques, sociaux et environnementaux. Dans le même temps, à moins d’être soutenu de manière appropriée par des acteurs plus larges, le volontariat peut être exclusif et contraignant pour certains groupes.

UNV is pleased to present the findings of the 2016 UN Volunteer Survey Report, a key tool that UNV uses to assess progress towards its Strategic Framework goals and identify areas for improvements in volunteer management. This report summarizes the responses to the survey from UN Volunteers serving across the globe. We have heard from 2,900 voices of serving UN Volunteers and those who have recently completed their assignments. Summary of key findings:

Furthermore, the report posits that through their engagement in response efforts at the community level, UN Volunteers were able to help advance the social inclusion of women, promote volunteerism among local people and decision-makers, and create opportunities for youth participation and capacity development.

The fully funded UN Volunteers featured in this report share that determination. Through the UNV Full Funding Programme, funding partners, host UN partners and UNV offer volunteers an opportunity to share knowledge and gain experience as part of the UN system while addressing a range of development challenges around the world. The Full Funding Programme represents a win-win-win situation for volunteers, funding partners and host communities alike.
