Although Dr. Muviri was not able to join the chat due to a connection problem, Dr. Chu was able to engage in an informative discussion about his efforts to achieve an AIDS-free generation as a UN Volunteer.
Volunteering is probably the greatest sacrifice to you and your family! My wife is also a UNV doctor here by the way. I love helping people. This is first and foremost reason why I became a doctor, says Dr. Chu.
He also discussed the significance of treatment and consistency: Counseling is very crucial, he says. Understanding the lifetime implication and its advantages against stopping is very important. Keeping the drugs available is also vital.
At the end of the chat, Dr. Muviri was able to offer these words to everyone: "By free will, engagement, commitment and solidarity we must achieve the goal of reducing HIV to ZERO and having a new generation without HIV. It is possible."
