Bonn, Germany—The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) hosts the Asian Partner Roundtable at the United Nations Campus in Bonn on 12–13 May 2026. The meeting brings together government partners and volunteer organizations from Asia to look at what is working, what needs to improve, and how to grow the impact in the years ahead.
Held during International Volunteer Year 2026, the Roundtable will focus on how volunteer action can strengthen solidarity and practical cooperation in the region and globally.
Partners will review results from UNV’s Full Funding and Special Voluntary Fund, exchange lessons, and explore new ways to work together as priorities evolve across Asia and in the UN system.
The discussions will be practical and action-oriented. Topics include recruiting volunteers, managing assignments, and making sure volunteer support responds to real needs on the ground.
Toily Kurbanov, UNV Executive Coordinator, said: “This meeting is about learning from experience, listening to each other, and making sure our cooperation stays practical, focused and ready for the future.”
Participating countries include China, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. Delegations include representatives of governments, public institutions and national volunteer organizations
