UNV partnering with Luxembourg
The partnership between the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme and Luxembourg dates back to the year 2000, when the two partners signed their first agreement to deploy fully-funded UN Volunteers. The partnership is managed through the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and its Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action.
In 2024, the Government of Luxembourg generously sponsored two assignments for nationals from its priority development cooperation countries.
UNV partnering with Spain
Since 1991, the Government of Spain and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme have worked closely together to support global UN development, humanitarian and peacebuilding efforts. To date, this collaboration, through the UNV Full Funding (FF) programme, has facilitated the deployment of more than 300 UN Volunteers, including national UN Volunteers from the global South.
Spain, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the deployment of fully funded UN Volunteers worldwide. For instance, these volunteers support UN efforts to defend human rights, promote gender equality and foster food security in Latin America and Africa.
