UNV's experience in strengthening volunteer infrastructure

This series of knowledge products, including a global report and several country reports, is based on the findings of a global evaluation on UNV's contribution to volunteer infrastructure carried out in 2013.

In 2013, the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme commissioned a global evaluation on its contribution to volunteer infrastructure. The evaluation was carried out by the Centre for International Development and Training, University of Wolverhampton and covered 22 national and regional initiatives supported by UNV both financially and technically.

"UNV's experience in strengthening volunteer infrastructure" is a series of knowledge products based on the findings of the evaluation which currently includes a global report and country reports for Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Liberia, Nepal, Togo, and Viet Nam. These reports are produced in a reader-friendly format to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge on volunteer infrastructure.

This series is part of UNV's efforts to increase the body of knowledge on volunteer infrastructure, one of the priorities of the UNV Strategic Framework 2014-2017, and will be continued with reports that document practice in other countries. The reports are being translated into Spanish and French.
