The event is organised by the Federation of private Institutions of children, young people and the family (FIPAN) where a recognition will be made of Venezuelan volunteers who dedicate their effort and time to work for children, youth and family. The event will be attended by more than 300 people, including volunteers and special guests and speakers of a very hight level. On the occasion of International Volunteer Day (IVD) 2019, Mr Olivier Adam, Executive Coordinator of the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme, is partaking in celebrations in Peru. He will mark the day with UN Volunteers in Peru and take part in an award ceremony. The Municipality of lima launched the Metropolitan Volunteeer Award, which seeks to recognize organizations and people involved in the development, promotion and support of the volunteer service in Lima.
