International Volunteer Day celebrations  in Côte d’Ivoire  will take place at Lycée Professional de man. A panel on the importance of volunteerism in achieving SDG 10  and the persuit of equality including inclusion through volunteeerism and blood donation will be organised. On the occasion of International Volunteer Day (IVD), we will have a celebration in Nukus, Karakalpakstan, to mark the closure of UNV project activities. During the event, we will hand out awards for the best health community volunteers of the project. When: 5 December, Nukus, Karakalpakstan

The International Volunteer Day 2019 celebrations in the Central African Republic started on 30th November, with solidarity activities at the centre for Deaf and hard hearing, Bangui. And the orphange Coeur Compatissant at Bimbo. However on the 5th of december an official ceremony and workshops will take place to raise awareness on how to create a more inclusive society.

On the occassion of International Volunteer Day 2019, we have organised a conference discussing how volunteerism can be a force to increase social inclusion in Ougadougou starting 9:00 AM. This will be followed by a volunteeer night starting at La Ruche from 6:30 pm, and festivals in Tenkodogo with a theme how volunteerism can empower populations and be a driver for development. When: 5th and 6th of December 2019, Ouagadougou,Tenkodogo, Burkina Faso respectively

This is an artistic solidarity initiative of the Volunteer Programme of the Directorate General for Strengthening Civil Society (Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina) and the Rumbo Sur Civil Association of Argentina. Initially, this was developed in 2011 in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the "International Year of the Volunteer", declared by the United Nations.

The programme includes a mobilization walk, sensitization for girls and women about the environment and climate change, planting trees and a sports tournament. In addition, there will be a discussion about inclusion with youth, non-governmental organizations and volunteer-involving organizations: How can volunteers contribute towards an inclusive future in Cameroon?

On the occasion of International Volunteer Day 2019, we have organized a qualifying training for twenty-five women/girls with disabilities in Tillabéry. We will also have a food and clothing donation for girls and women prisoners at the Tillabéry prison. The official ceremony will be attended by the Minister for Regional Planning and Community Development and the Regional Manager, West and Central Africa Office of the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme.
