The launch of 2018 SWVR in China was co-hosted by UN Volunteers (UNV) programme and Beijing Volunteer Service Federation (BVF). UNV Regional Manager for Asia and the Pacific Ms. Shalina Miah, Portfolio Manager and Deputy Ms. Manon Bernier, Deputy Secretary-General of Beijing Youth League Mr. Li Jian and Secretary General of Beijing Volunteer Service Federation (BVF) Mr. Li Lei chaired the launch. This was the first national launch of the 2018 SWVR in Asia and the Pacific region.
UNV is pleased to present the findings of the 2016 UN Volunteer Survey Report, a key tool that UNV uses to assess progress towards its Strategic Framework goals and identify areas for improvements in volunteer management. This report summarizes the responses to the survey from UN Volunteers serving across the globe.
We have heard from 2,900 voices of serving UN Volunteers and those who have recently completed their assignments.

For the past 25 years, UN Volunteers have supported peace processes in multiple societies and countries in complex political transitions around the world.
Over 14,000 UN Volunteers have been deployed to support peace processes in more than 40 different peacekeeping and political UN missions, as well as UN peacebuilding offices around the world.
