UNV partnering with Norway

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme has a longstanding partnership with the Government of Norway, mainly focused on the Full Funding programme. UNV’s counterpart is the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (NOREC).

The Norwegian Government supports full funding of UN Volunteer assignments for Norwegian nationals. In 2024, 11 Norwegian nationals served as UN Volunteers, with 1 of them receiving full funding from the Government of Norway.

Norway is one of the 124 co-sponsors of the 2018 UN General Assembly Resolution on Volunteering for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (A/C.3/73/L.13).

For further information, refer to UNV's Annual Report 2024, including our Special Voluntary Fund and Full Funding reports.
