SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure
Christophe joined the World Bank in August 2022.
He has since then contributed to some 15 World Bank-funded projects, one of which, was the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Senegal.
As part of the project, he published the State of the Transport Sector Report and also supported documenting new strategies for enhancing road safety in Dakar.

This joint partnership initiative between UNEP and UNV has a twin objective:
To deploy the second cohort of 13 young talented individuals in areas related to UNEP's mandate.
To seek candidates from Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
If you are 33 years of age or younger, check out the assignment opportunities. Women and individuals from marginalized groups are especially encouraged to apply.

Online Volunteers showcased their graphic design skills and represented the goals of Algeria's Green Entrepreneurship Week.
Led by an Online Volunteer from Tunisia, Samher Abbessi, the Online Volunteering team with UNDP came up with promotional materials and presentations including a vibrant logo symbolizing sustainability and circular practices.

With land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience at the core — MONUSCO's Environmental Protection Unit includes cleaning sites and handing them over to landowners — tasks that Wanjiku and Kebbeh are responsible for in their volunteer assignments.

UN Volunteers are Marine Reserve Rangers at the Aqaba Marine Reserve in the port city of Aqaba in Jordan. As part of the project's activities, they patrol the reserve’s beaches, and complement their service by offering educational programmes and engaging in research initiatives.
Serving with the Awareness and Public Relations Department, Bdour Abu-Bader supports educational initiatives for the local community ranging from beach clean-up campaigns to maintaining social media platforms. She also supports the operational responsibilities at the reserve.

Jean's expertise lies in designing effective water and wastewater treatment facilities, while ensuring compliance with international safety and environmental standards. He actively shares his extensive knowledge to strengthen his colleagues’ capacity, including military peacekeepers, in the realm of water and waste management.
