Forty volunteer organizations, including the United Nations Volunteers programme, participated in a Volunteer Street Fair in Bangkok organized by the Volunteer Spirit Network to mark International Volunteer Day in December 2010.

Marion Huetter, a reporter with German broadcaster, Deutsche Welle's, The Global Ideas programme,  interviews UN Volunteers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where they are celebrating the tenth anniversary of the International Year of Volunteers (IYV+10).

Germany is host and strong partner to the United Nations presence in the country. The Federal City of Bonn is home to numerous UN organizations, programmes and offices. Today there are 24 UN institutions based in Bonn, with more than 1,000 members of staff. UNV moved to Bonn in 1996.

In 2017, Sida and UNV signed the first agreement to supporting full funding of UN Youth Volunteer assignments for Swedish Volunteers. Sida and UNV engaged in a pilot initiative in 2019 to support the UNDP-UNV Talent Programme for Young Professionals with Disabilities for Swedish nationals. In 2020, as part of this initiative, Sida decided to extend its support to also fund assignments for persons with disabilities for national UN Volunteers.

Czechia was one of the 124 co-sponsors of the UN General Assembly Resolution on Volunteering for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2018.In the same year, the Government submitted a National Situation Analysis on Volunteering, in the context of the Plan of Action to integrate volunteering in the 2030 Agenda.

The Finnish Government was also one of the 124 co-sponsors of the 2018 UN General Assembly Resolution on Volunteering for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2018.

France directly supports UNV activities and in 2019 presented its National Situational Analysis on Volunteering, a source for generating evidence and data on volunteerism.

UNV, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have been working since 2014 on the project to strengthen the NYKS and NSS across 58 districts in 27 states. The initiative aims to facilitate inclusive youth voice and action by forming youth clubs and engaging youth in volunteering for community development, skills development and awareness raising on government programmes at the grassroot levels, and strengthening the delivery of services in hard-to-reach locations.

Ireland strongly supports volunteerism-related issues and was one of the 124 co-sponsors of the 2018 UN General Assembly Resolution on Volunteering for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (A/C.3/73/L.13).

The achievement of the SDGs requires enhanced cooperation among various stakeholders. UNV effectively fulfills its mission of mobilizing volunteers by establishing partnerships with multiple actors, which is vital for ensuring inclusivity. The private sector assumes a pivotal role in facilitating this process.
